You'll be picked up from your hotel in Luxor in the early morning and driven to a beautiful ship moored along the banks of the Nile. Once aboard, your voyage of discovery will begin as you gently float down the world's largest river,
The lifeblood of Egypt, both in ancient times and still today in many ways, the Nile has always been the heart of Egypt and dotted along her river banks lie national treasures telling a story of Egypt's rich history right from ancient times when the pharaohs ruled. As you voyage down the Nile and leave Luxor center behind, you'll find the City gives way to beautiful farm land and country side, inhabited for thousands of years and supported by the trusty Nile.
Our first stop will be Dandara, and the amazing Dendera Temple Complex, one of the best preserved temples in Egypt and a great example of what the ancient Egyptian's could achieve. Covering over 40,000sq meters, Dendera has been a site for chapels and shrines since the very beginning of Ancient Egyptian history. The current temple dates back to the Middle Kingdom, with subsequent additions made during the time of the Romans.
