Just returned from Egypt and took this 2 day trip. I was a little worried at first as the main bulk of the payment was to be in cash when we arrived at our hotel, but, I had nothing to worry about.
Mohamad's communication via WhatsApp was excellent from booking the tour till the end.
It truly was a private tour with our own driver and guide for Luxor and Cairo. Our driver from Hurghada (Mohammad) was spot on time and gave us lots of information as we drove the 4 hours in a very comfortable car. Mahmoud our guide was very friendly, good sense of humour and very knowable.
Cairo was again superb with Mahmoud our driver, who took the Cairo traffic with ease. Anrahassan our guide was a delight, and had so much knowledge.
we were made to very special and very safe at all times. I would highly recommend this trip and this company to anyone.
Just returned from our 2 day adventure. I was a little worried giving the bulk of the money in cash when arrived in Egypt but it all went smoothly.
Mohamad’s communication was excellent from booking the trip till end.
We had a dedicated driver & guide for each location so it really was a private tour. The trip was Luxor first then overnight there before flying to Cairo the next morning then flight back to Hurghada.
Luxor .. Mohammad our driver for the trip arrived at the time given and gave us lots of information of the areas we travelled through.
Mahmoud our guide for the day was friendly, knowledgeable & had a great sense of humour.
Cairo.. driver for the day was Mahmoud made driving in Cairo look easy. Guide Anrahassan. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly & always checking we were ok.
The drivers & guides were first rate. We felt very special & safe at all times

Really enjoyed my time in Cairo, I felt very safe traveling alone as a female. I had a wonderful guide, Mary and would really recommend Egypt Excursions
This was our second trip with Egypt excursions, we got tickets sent which was a slightly later flight when asked to change flights to an earlier one this was not a problem and we got earlier flights even upgraded to business class! We were met by tour guide Mary who was lovely and provided us with lots of information and made us comfortable the full day :) this was a great trip and we would recommend booking with Egypt excursions everything went to plan from pick up at the hotel to pick up once we got off the flight :)
We booked the full day Luxor East and West Private tour relying on previous customer reviews and we were very pleased with our experience.
The trip was very well organised with all our questions prior to arrival promptly answered by Mohammed via What’s App.
Mahmoud, our tour guide, contacted us the day before to advise on our pick up time and place and also give us a little extra information as to what to expect, we found this quite assuring.
We were picked up from our hotel at the agreed time and started the tour at the Valley of the Kings, followed by Hatshepsut Temple. Mahmoud was very knowledgeable, educating us on history of each amazing place that we visited.
Mahmoud encouraged questions about both the historical sites we were visiting and about Egyptian life, this enabled a fuller understanding of Egyptian culture.
After lunch we then went to the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut temple. Mahmoud spoke very good english and had a very good sense of humour, which helped us to enjoy a very memorable day.
All in all it is a long day but well worth the trip. We can highly recommend Egypt Excursion and should we return to Egypt we will be use them again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Cairo with Egypt Excursions. We knew it was a long day but our driver Mohammed was punctual to arrive to pick us up at the hotel. Although he did not speak much English this did not matter as he tried hard to make us feel comfortable and safe in the drive to Cairo from Hurghada.
We met our guide Hima in Cairo who was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip to the pyramids very seamless and stress free (he took us away from the majority of the tourists).
We had a nice lunch and visited some shops (art and perfume) but no one was too pushy to make us buy things. Then we visited the Egyptian museum - there is no air con in the museum so remember to bring water and a fan.
All in all a great day and we were so glad we picked to complete a private tour as we could take the day at our own pace especially in the heat of the summer!
It's a bit of a trek up the mountain but there's plenty of rest stops along the way. Bring warm clothes and snacks. Mohamed was very kind, we had some issues prior to the trip that meant we could have missed it altogether but he went out of his way to make sure we made it and checked in frequently to check everything was okay. It wouldn't have happened without him!!
We had heard rave reviews about this company from our friends who had previously booked trips with Egyptian Excursions. We booked our day trip to Luxor (and also the day trip to Cairo by plane) while we were in the UK.
We found it all very organised and we felt reassured from the start. Mohammad was in touch by What’s App and answered all our questions promptly.
It was arranged that we would be picked up at 5:15 am and we were met by Hamada in his lovely air conditioned car. Hamada was really nice and friendly. It took approx 3 and a half hours to arrive in Luxor, which in itself was a truly fascinating road journey.
We then met Mahmoud Nafea our private guide and off to Karnak temple. Mahmoud is amazing. He is so knowledgeable, talking through the history of each place and providing opportunities to add to our trip if we wanted but happy to continue if we chose not to take any extras. Going across the Nile by boat was a nice extra, so relaxing, we got a nice cup of Egyptian tea and a much needed cool breeze. The boat dropped us off at the restaurant for a delicious lunch. The only criticism we would have was that there was too much lunch, especially as we still had so much yet to visit that afternoon!
Mahmoud told us that we could ask any questions of him, not just about the amazing things we were seeing but also about day to day Egyptian life. We took full advantage of this and found discovering a new culture very, very interesting.
After lunch we then went to the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut temple. Mahmoud was fantastic he kept us up to date with all the information we needed and made us feel very comfortable. His patience, passion and enthusiasm shone through and we really enjoyed his company. The Valley of the Kings is a must see.
We then did a visit to an Alabaster shop. We were shown the skill involved in makings the beautiful objects and enjoyed the theatre of negotiating a price very much and had a great laugh with the owner.
After that we said goodbye to Mahmoud and sent off back to Hurghada arriving around 9pm. Hamada offered to stop and buy a sugar cane drink for us to try. We agreed and were delighted to try something different, it was delicious!
All in all it is a long day but well worth the trip. Highly recommend and when we return to Egypt we will be using this company again! Thanks to Mahmoud and Hamada for a truly memorable day.

We really enjoyed our 2 day tour in Luxor with our guide Mahmoud! He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable of the historical sights and Egyptian culture. We would really recommend him, as he was very friendly and accommodating.
We visited some of the main sights (Day 1: Hatshepsut temple, Valley of the Kings, and Colossi of Memnon, Day 2: Karnak and Luxor temples), which did not feel rushed. On our first day we also went to a stone carving workshop, which felt a bit like a tourist trap. It would have been nice to visit a few more sites because it took us less than half a day on both days, but it was also good to have some time to ourselves in Luxor. Mahmoud offered to show us around the city in the evening for an extra fee, but we decided to explore it ourselves.
We stayed at Nefertiti hotel, which is basic but clean. They have an amazing rooftop and the breakfast was decent.
The communication with the organisers was a bit slow before we arrived in Egypt, as we only received confirmation of the booking and deposit after a couple of days. Once we arrived in Egypt it was very easy and fast to reach them via WhatsApp. They kindly offered to pick us up when we arrived at the airport in Egypt (2 days before our tour), but they asked us to pay for the tour in cash on the spot.
Overall, we had a good experience and think that it is good value for money.
I was abit worried when I first booked this online as I wasn’t too sure about the company. But when I actually got to Egypt and Muhammad contacted me via WhatsApp my worries were over. Firstly we only gave a small deposit online and then arranged payment when we got there. A representative came to our hotel at a chosen time and explained what time he would pick us up etc. On the day the driver came on time, we got the airport, flight was in time and hey presto ! We were in Cairo!! We opted for a Private tour as we were with our 3 children. I would definately recommend this. Our tour guide was already there waiting for us and off we went !! I must say Mehmood our tour guide was great ! So knowledgable and friendly and really made it interesting for all of us. We did the Cairo museum, the pyramids had a lovely lunch and saw how papyrus was made. Nothing was rushed we stopped for food on the way back to the airport. Mohammed was great he kept in touch with me all the time via WhatsApp and made sure we were happy and everything ran smoothly.
We were so happy with the service that we booked a private day trip from Hurghada to Luxor too !
Very professional ! I would recommend anyone interested in a trip to the pyramids or Luxor to book with Eygpt excursions
Highly recommend! We had a fantastic day. The hotel pick up was nice and easy and a pleasant air conditioned car trip to Luxor. No hassle of busy coaches with lots of other people super early in the morning. Perfect way to start the trip. Once arriving at our first destination we meet with our private guide Mahmood who was amazing. So knowledgeable, talking through the history of each place and providing opportunities to add to our trip if we wanted but happy to continue if we chose not to take any extras. Going across the Nile by boat and going down to Tutankhamen's tomb was certainly worth the extra bit (about an extra £14). It was a long day but we got to take it at our pace and because it was a private tour there was no waiting around for others to rejoin the group and when its 42 degrees the last thing you want to be doing is waiting in the heat. We chose to do this experience on our 3 day (went for 10 day holiday) as we knew it was a long day and glad we did as we felt like we had need a few days to relax afterwards! I cannot speak highly enough of the places we saw and of Mahmood and the driver (apologies I cant remember how to spell you name) but he stopped and pick us all up some ice lollies for the drive back which was very sweet. If your looking to go to Luxor this was the way to do it!
We booked our day trip to Luxor while we were in the UK. We received an email with all our details and where to meet to pay the outstanding balance of the trip. All went well and we arranged to be picked up at 5:15 am we were met by an air conditioned car. The driver was really nice and friendly. It took about 3 and a half hours to arrive in Luxor. We then met Mahmoud our guide and off to Karnak temple . After lunch we then went to the valley of the kings and Hatshepsut temple. Mahmoud was fantastic he kept us up to date with all the information we needed and explained the history of everywhere we went. His passion and enthusiasm shone through and we really enjoyed his company. We did visit a Papurus shop and a Alabaster shop. To be honest we would have rather not done this but we understand why it’s on the tour. After that we said goodbye to Mahmoud and sent off back to Hurghada arriving around 8pm. It is a long day but well worth the trip. Thanks to Ibrahim the driver and Mahmoud for a fantastic day.
Actual trip it’s self was absolutely amazing along with our Guide Mahmoud... very knowledgeable and friendly guide answering all questions etc through our two days... Luxor is a definite when on holiday in Egypt and highly recommend Egypt excursions... was very easy to organise everything with them... however we did find that the 2 days was not worth it as it could’ve easily been fitted into one day... on our first day we had checked into the hotel by 14:30 as we’d finished everything and then the extras we did to take up some time such as the Luxor tour was £60! And on the second day we had finished my 11:15am so just headed home. Was an amazing couple of days but very expensive to fill up time as itinary doesn’t fill up your day
We stopped at Alexandria Port on our cruise from UK with TUI Cruises for a night, so decided to book a day tour while we were there. Myself and my 2 sons have always been interested in history and so we thought this would be a good way of seeing some sights around Alexandria whilst taking in a bit of modern history. Overall the trip was organised very well, the booking team were great and reassured us that we would be collected and returned to our ship on time (a big worry!!).
The day trip was really interesting and on returning we have actually read into the battle of El Alamein. Would encourage anyone stopping at Alexandria port to give this a go
Excellent day, pick up on time from hotel on a/c coach flight check in easy pick up at cairo on time citadel museum lunch nile boat trip pyramids and then the Sphinx and local shops, back to the airport easy pick up from airport and back to the hotel for drinks fantastic and my boys of 13 and 10 said awesome a day they will never forget. Mamhood our guide was excellent very informative and funny great with the boys, also the camera. Booking was easy online in uk before our holiday, much cheaper and personalised than through holiday reps. Paid with PayPal deposit in UK, email confirmation and meeting time arranged at Hotel to pay rest of the fee in cash..... I was little nervous handing over a wad of cash two days before the excursion but so glad I did. Fantastic day that my family will remember forever.
We really enjoyed the trip to the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Our tour guide Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and told us many historical facts and stories about the places that we visited. He also showed us to a local cafe where they served a very nice beans and falafel sandwiches. Additionally we stopped by the papyrus production museum which was quite interesting. In general, the tour was exiting and very knowledgeable.
I would 100% recommend Egypt Excursions as a fantastic tour company. I was met by Khalib outside our hotel to pay the balance for our trips at the agreed time and received our excursion vouchers. We were promptly picked up on the day by private mini-bus to go on the glass bottom boat trip, which was amazing; a huge very well maintained three level ship, along with plenty of underwater viewing areas. We were expecting a much smaller boat for the tour price, so were pleasantly surprised (and we saw that other tours do use smaller boats). The trip lasted a full two hours, the crew were very friendly and took loads of great photos of us, which you can purchase on CD for an extra charge (and at a good price if you haggle!), plus you can also buy refreshments on-board. You can even snorkel in the Red Sea for 30 minutes if you wish. We were picked up by private mini-bus at the end of the trip and thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Many thanks to Khalib who accompanied us on the transfer, a true gentleman.
I would 100% recommend Egypt Excursions as a fantastic tour company. After originally booking a one-day excursion to Cairo by plane, several months before our trip, we decided to change our plans 10 days before; and were easily able to amend our booking to a one day private tour of Luxor and also the glass bottom boat trip from Hurghada. Mohamed Mahdy was very helpful both with our initial booking and the subsequent change to the tour without any difficulty and promptly responded to my e-mails. Many thanks to Khalib who accompanied us on the transfer, a true gentleman. Our second trip was a full day excursion to Luxor, again by private mini-bus (which was exclusively ours for the day) and with our very own tour guide, Mahmoud, who met us at Luxor and accompanied us for the whole day (I would definitely recommend paying a very reasonable extra charge for a private tour). We were picked up outside our hotel at the agreed time of 5:15am and the journey to Luxor was nearly four hours, but includes a welcome half-way 20 minute stop for a refreshment break. You get to see some amazing sights on the journey as you pass through several villages en-route and will see the real Egypt away from the tourist areas. There were several check-points on the way, but we were waved through without any problems and felt very safe at all times. The Egyptian driving ‘system’ is nothing like we are used to in the UK, but our driver was excellent and the air-conditioning made it a very comfortable trip. On our arrival at Luxor, Mahmoud explained the itinerary for the day and took us first into Karnak Temple, buying our entrance tickets for us (which are all included in the tour price) so there was no queuing to get in. Mahmoud was very friendly and knowledgeable, imparting lots of interesting facts about the temple and was he was great interacting with our two boys, answering all of their questions. After a guided tour, we were allowed to explore the rest of the temple at our own pace and met Mahmoud back at the entrance to go on the next stage of our tour. We decided to pay extra to go on a private boat trip along the River Nile, where our youngest son (10 years old) got to drive the boat himself, which he absolutely loved. Mahmoud then took us for our buffet lunch (which is also included in the price, except for drinks that are not expensive). After lunch we headed to the Valley of the Kings, where we got to see three very different tombs, excellently chosen by Mahmoud (you can pay extra to go into King Tut’s tomb, but we decided not to add this). Next, we stopped at an alabaster workshop (where you can buy souvenirs if you wish); and then finally we visited the fantastic Temple of Hatshepsut, which we explored at our own pace, meeting back with Mahmoud at the entrance when we were finished. After a quick stop at the Colossi of Memnon (at our request), we then re-stocked our water supply at a local supermarket (you will pay much more if you buy from the on-site shops) and then we travelled back to Hurghada (again with a half-way break). Our driver was also happy to stop at McDonalds in Hurghada, before arriving back at our hotel around 8:30pm, at the end of a long but fabulous and unforgettable day. A special thanks goes to Mahmoud for being such an excellent guide. I would have no hesitation in giving Egypt Excursions a 10 out of 10 rating, as both our tours were excellently organised, very reasonably priced (compared to other tour operators) and represented great value for money.
Brilluant trip on the quad bikes. 2 adults and 2 kids. Kids can sit either Infront or behind the adult. Spent a really long time driving them out in the desert to as little village where you get a drink and ride a camel if you want. Really well organized and enjoyable. All the staff are really helpful. Be warned - you will get dusty! Scarves are available to buy - cost @ £2.50 but well worth getting. Definitely recommend this trip.
Enjoyable day out, 5.15am start, friendly driver, the early start was an advantage as we made it to Karnak Temple before the crowds, we met our guide Mahmood there, he was very friendly and informative. Went on a boat trip on the Nile, then lunch in a local restaurant, after lunch we went to Valley of the Kings and Hatchepsut Temple. Long day, but saw everything we needed to. Would definitely recommend this tour.
What an amazing trip. Mohammed was our guide in Cairo but the guide that picked us up from the hotel was also as helpful. We arrived in Cairo before the roads had time to get busy (and they get busy) which gave us a bit of free time so we went to see the first ever mosque in Africa. Them onto the museum. We needed a drink so Mohammed took us to an Egyptian cafe for coffee and water. We then had a boat trip up the Nile and a chat about life in Cairo. We then headed to the restaurant for lunch. This was delicious and very clean The waiter was also a very friendly man. He made us all laugh. The pyramids were out of this world and Mohamed was knowledgeable but not over the top. He can also take great photos. Lastly he took us to a rug shop and a papyrus shop. He never forced us to go anywhere or spend money elsewhere. My only regret about the trio was that I spent all my money in the rug shop and couldn't tip Mohammed as he so rightly deserved one. Thanks f9r the memories.
We (two adults and our 8 and 10 year old boys) went on this tour on 11th and 12th April 2019. Really enjoyed this two day tour, saw some amazing sights. Had a different guide each day and both guides were really personable and knowledgable. They went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed the tour. On the first day we sailed on a Fellucca on a surprisingly peaceful Nile and spent around two really interesting hours in the Egyptian Museum. Marwa guided us around Luxor on the second day. She was the perfect guide, sharing her knowledge and giving us space and time to look around and enjoy. Would really recommend this trip and feel like we made the most of the two days.
We booked our trip in the UK before we arrived in Egypt and took this trip on 11th March 2019 from our hotel at Makadi beach. We were picked up at 5.30am from our hotel by a limousine and had the luxury of travelling all the way to Luxor (3.5 hours) on our own where we met our guide Mahmoud waiting for us at the Temple of Karnak. Surprisingly we were the only ones on the tour but that allowed us to pretty much dictate how the day went. Mahmoud was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide having studied Egyptology in Cairo and we felt well informed. He guided us around the Temple pointing out a lot of interesting information before giving us some free time to wander around this amazing place. Our next stop was the choice of visiting a perfume factory or papyrus factory before lunch. We chose to do neither as we weren't interested so we just headed to the West Bank for the buffet lunch (drinks extra). We had the option of taking a short boat ride across the Nile (for a additional charge) to our lunch destination but we decided to stay with the limousine and drive there. After lunch we headed to the Valley of the Kings where included in the price is the entrance to 3 tombs. The tomb of Tut Ankm Amun is NOT one of the 3 and you will need to pay an additional £12.50 per person for the privilege. Photographs are NOT allowed in any of the tombs unless you pay extra and even if you paid extra to see Tut Ankm Amun, photographs are NOT allowed in there at all. Mahmoud let us take all the time we needed exploring the tombs on our own and once we were ready our next stop was the Temple of Hatshepsut. Again after giving us some interesting facts about the Temple, we were allowed to explore on our own and at our pace. Finally before we set off back to Hurghada we had the chance to visit an Alabaster shop where they made and sold their wares. An ideal place to get your souvenir of the day. Credit Cards are accepted!! We arrived back at our hotel at 6.00pm which would probably have been more like 8.00pm if there had been a few others on the tour. Overall a great day!! A big thank you to Mahmoud. We would definitely recommend using Egypt Excursions for your trips. Our only negative experience of the entire trip was that at all the 3 locations we visited your had to brave the gauntlet of souvenir shops and being hassled by the shop keepers before you got to the ticket office. Still, it didn't ruin our day!
Picked up promptly at 5am and after picking up the other guests (there were 6 of us all together) we headed for Luxor. Quick stop off en route at an 'Egyptian service station', well somewhere to go to the toilet, get something to eat and be hassled by sellers. Once we arrived in Luxor we were met by Marwa, who was our guide and off to Karnak temple. Fantastic tour here with lots of information and we set our pace, so wasn't rushed at all. After Karnak, it was back into the minibus and off to lunch. We asked if we could have a boat trip and so happily paid a bit extra to have a trip at the Nile. We had 3 children in our group and each one given the opportunity to drive the boat - which was fun. Lunch was in a local restaurant - it wasn't the best of lunches but filled a gap. You did have to pay for your drinks, which was about £1.50 for a soft drink. Next was a visit to a Papyrus shop, showing us how Papyrus is made. Obviously there was an opportunity to buy, but we all decided not too. Back into the minibus for a stop at the Colossi of Memnon & then to Hatsheput temple. Again Marwa gave us lots of details and history about the temple and gave us plenty of time to have an explore and look round. Then finally it was off to the Valley of the Kings with a quick stop at an Alabaster factory, again with a demo and a chance to buy. At the Valley of the Kings, you have entry to 3 tombs included in the price. You have to pay LE300 if you wish to take photos in the tombs. These were amazing & Marwa gave us details of the tombs so that we could decide which ones to go into. We all paid the extra to visit King Tut's tomb, although the tomb is fairly boring compared to the others, my son really enjoyed it especially as King Tut is still in there. This ended our tour of Luxor and it was back onto the minibus for the trip back to Hurghada. We had a comfort stop again & arrived back at our hotel at 8.30pm.
The trip was fantastic and Marwa was brilliant and happily answered any questions my son had. The day did not feel rushed and with such a small group we all felt that we got a very personal tour. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
My only negative was constantly being asked for tips to use the toilet or being shown something at the temples or in the tombs. But this did not spoil the day.
Just had my first Holiday abroad in 10 years, a solo trip to Egypt. I was understandably rather anxious about the whole thing and the travel agents excursions were somewhat limited due to safety advise. However, I checked out Egypt Excursions on line and all seemed legitimate, so I booked a snorkeling trip before my trip. Their correspondence was great and everything was just as they said (ie voucher collection and times). I also booked a trip to Luxor on meeting them, this trip was amazing, even the 4 hour drive there and back gave me a great look at the country and its culture. I think both of my trips were fabulous value. You are wise to take extra cash for add ons, like photos on the snorkelling trip and a nile cruise, plus access to King Tuts tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Also, be aware that you are given the hard sell by traders constantly, are expected to pay to use toilets and that there are armed traffic police enroute at regular intervals. But, I never at any point felt unsafe and Vulnerable. Both of my excusions were amazing, I was dissapointed not to see Dolphins but the Luxor trip exceeded my expectations and actually was so overwheming that it made me quite emotional! I shall return to Egypt, as I want to see Cairo and much more of this fabulous country. I will definately use these guys again and recommend others to also, regardless of what your reps may say, remember they want the commission, I noted their tours were far more expensive and were exactly the same.
There are 5 things that you need from a tour like this:
1. Great price: half the price of the same trip offered by my travel rep. 2. Pick up on time: It was. 3. A safe driver: just the right mix of fast and careful and always waiting for us when and where we needed him. 4. A good guide: ours was excellent; knowledgeable and with good English. 5. Enough time: we were in full control and had ample time in each location.
I don't know if you were counting but I make that 5 out of 5.
5Stars from booking the trip to the trip it self. We paid a small deposit to book it. Our taxi pick up from the hotel was on time our tour guide was great spoke amazing English. For what we paid I thought it would be a small boat so surprised to see a luxury boat with 3 levels. The tour was not rushed they spent a good 2 hours on the reef allowing you snorkelling time. There was no hard selling of other tours our guide was just pleased we had booked with them. Taxi return to hotel everyone so friendly. All for £19.00 each amazing
We booked Egypt Excursions for a trip from Hurghada to Cairo by plane. Everything was simple from booking to the following communication and we were looked after incredibly well on the day. We were fortunate enough to be the only people on the trip that day so we had a driver and guide (Miriam) all to ourselves. The day started when we were picked up from the hotel as arranged, flights had been booked for us and we were collected from the airport to visit the Cairo museum as soon as it opened. Miriam gave us an excellent tour and explained loads of history to us, we then had an optional extra boat trip on the Nile and visited the Papyrus shop before a traditional Egyptian lunch. After we'd refueled we headed to the pyramids and the Sphinx which were amazing! We then had time for a visit to a perfume shop and a cafe with a view over the pyramids to die for just as the sun set on a wonderful day. We would strongly recommend this company!
The tour started at 5: 20 am, we were picked up from our hotel and had 3 hours road trip in a mini van with air conditioner. we were greeted by Marwa in Luxor. She was very pleasant and nice and bombard us with lots of information. I recommend to have both Cairo and Luxor trip if you really like history. They will complete the puzzles of Egyptian secrets for you. Marwa suggest us to have the lunch on Nile River which was Great. While we has the food she was telling more information on Nile and other places we suppose to visit after the river sightseeing. I really recommend the trip, you cant go to Egypt and miss the Luxor trip with this team. Staff were informative, professional and very friendly.
We booked the trip from London and was not sure how would be the service. We were welcomed by one of the team members Khalid at airport and he explained all the requirements for the next trip (Cairo 1 day by plane) to us. He went through everything including all the required documents, breakfast package which we need to get from the hotel and even clothes we better to wear. He personally came 4 in the morning to pick us up from the hotel to ensure we will have the best service. In Cairo we were welcome by Ahmad (Driver) and very good tour leader (Mahmood - Moody) We asked them to add a quick change in our Cairo trip and bring us to Refahi' masque where Persian King buried. We were not sure they can accommodate it but they did. Mahmood even convinced the people in the mosque to open the doors and let us see the Maghbarah before 8 in the morning. We really appreciate his effort on this as he made a wonderful memory for us. Then we went to the museum and received detailed information on everything.... Pyramid trip was wonderful too <3 He was also a great photographer and took the best pictures from us.
Thank you for the lovely day and personalized trip. Reza and Parisa
My overall impression is that we were being looked after efficiently. On every occasion our drivers arrived exactly at the apponted time. Our driver, Ibrahim, on the long journey from and to Hurgharda was excellent. We have to alter our plans during the trip. That was handled without fuss.
Our expert guide was Marwa who was excellent and engaging and made the experience less remote.
I would definitely recommend Egypt Excursions for their efficient management and their excellent staff.
We booked several excursions with Sharm excursions including: parasailing, 5-in-1 Safari and Cairo by bus.
Booking information and confirmation was provided in a timely manner with Mohamed more than happy to help with any queries as well as helping to accommodate any changes and offer recommendations on other excursions available during our stay.
Our tour guides Ahmed (Sim Sim) and Maryam were very friendly knowledgeable and made our excursion experience all the more enjoyable. We also appreciated Mohamed taking time to meet us and ask about our experience during our Cairo excursion.
We fully recommend booking with Sharm excursions for the value for money and service. It was our first trip to Egypt and we enjoyed it so much we will be back in the future!
Thank you once again for a memorable Sharm experience.
After being picked up from our hotel in Hurghada we then travelled on our 5 hour air conditioned mini van trip to luxor. When we arrived at Karnak we were greeted by our tour guide Marwa who was very pleasant and a superb knowledgeable person. After Karnak we were taken to a motor boat where we crossed the river Nile and then proceeded to a restaurant for our dinner and the went to the valley of the kings. My score for this excursion has to be 10/10 and would definitely use this company again.A big thankyou to Marwa and her team.
We booked the trip online as the reviews were really good. One review was really accurate of the trip. It was an early start with lots of police checks and speed bumps. As for our guide Marwa she was excellent and very informative of the sites and other interesting facts between our sites. The historical sites were magnificent and left the mind boggled as to how they managed to build the structures and the tombs. Once again a big thank you to Marwa for making the day enjoyable and informative.

We booked the Sinai Dream Boat Tour on our holiday to Sharm El Sheikh and thoroughly enjoyed it. As we got on the boat we noticed it was a lot cleaner / nicer than what you usually end up on with boat tours (done similar things in Turkey, Greece) and there was a good atmosphere with music playing and very friendly staff.
The snorkelling was out of this world, we saw turtles, thousands of fish and a small dolphin. Food was good, and drinks were served throughout the day. One criticism is that our driver was around 10 minutes late to pick us up from our hotel, but when he arrived he was friendly enough and apologised.
We have just returned from our 2 week trip to Hurghada. Whilst there we decided we wanted to look into trips to Luxor and Cairo. We decided that Cairo was too far with our 3 kids. We found Egypt excursions and read the reviews and were surprised to find the cost was very reasonable compared to other companies. We filled out the form and paid our deposit. I was then contacted by e-mail from Mohammed. I then contacted him via WhatsApp. I was told that a representative from the company would meet me at the security gate outside my hotel and O was to pay him the rest of the money and he would give us the tickets. We were a little wary but it was fine. By the way we booked on the Monday for Wednesday trip. We paid a little extra and had a private tour as we have 3 kids we wanted to be able to do what we wanted and not wait around for a large group. Well the driver turned up at 5.20am as planned. The minivan was comfortable and the air condition was a godsend. We were advised to take our passports but at no point were we asked for them. But at every security check point the drivers details were taken. At no point of the journey did we feel unsafe. We went through some amazing countryside and watched farmer work the fields and were amazed at how green it was as we drove inland. We had a comfort break halfway through the journey, be advised, they expect you to tip to use the toilets and they are desperate to sell you stuff. We were then taken to Karnak Temple where we met Marwa, our guide for the day. We then had the option to go in the minivan to the restaurant or for an extra charge we could take the boat across the Nile. We went on the boat, it was so relaxing, shaded and a wonderful breeze. Marwa told us things about the Nile and the history behind some of the properties we passed on the Nile. She then took us to lunch at a restaurant which was completely setup with a buffet for these tours. The food was lovely and included, we just needed to pay for our drinks, they do not serve alcohol. We were then taken to a papyrus shop (optional ìf on a private trip) Colossi of memnon, Alabaster shop (this is optional if on a private trip) Hatshepsut and then valley of the kings. At all places there were bazaars to buy souvenirs, so take plenty of money!! I cannot describe how amazing this trip was and how wonderful Marwa was as a guide and friend. She made us feel very welcome and treated our kids like her own. She looked after us so well, she was so knowledgeable about every site we saw and gave us such an insight into Egypt. Doing a private trip meant that the road trip was a little bit easier and we arrived before all the coach parties!! So no queuing or waiting for everyone. We arrived back at our hotel at 9pm, so it was a long day but so worth it. We had the same comfort break on the way back. At times we were not sure if we could cope with anymore walking out in the sun but it was timed so well as we arrived at the vallet of the Kings as the sun was low in the sky and plenty of places in the shade. The tour included 3 tombs vut it was extra to visit King Tut. We got breakfast boxes from our hotel and took lots of water but wished we had taken some more, especially as we had the minivan all day and could leave stuff in it. Although there are plenty of places to get drinks. Be warned that although our driver was brilliant, the roads are hairy, we are not quite sure what the rules are!!
One of the best decisions we made while planning our Luxor trip was to hire Egypt Excursions and it was worth it. We saw more with our private guide than we would have if we were part of a big group because we weren't waiting around for people to follow, catch up, and get going; we learned more about the places we saw because we weren't straining to hear or tuning out because we were in the back of the group; we saw what we wanted to see and skipped what we didn't because the tour was, more or less, tailored for us.
We were picked up from our hotel and taken to Karnak where we were met by our guide for the day, Marwa. Our guide, Marwa, was great. She was super warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She clearly loves her job as a tour guide as she seemed to do it with such passion. And was totally invested in making sure we had a good time and learned a lot about the Karnak Temple and Luxor at the same time. She knew all of the ins and outs of making sure we got to the sites like Valley of the Kings in comfortable way (by boat)and that made a big difference in hot weather. The scenery was absolutely unbelievable, unlike anything we've seen before.
We had during our trip lunch which was included and we would've never discovered this restaurant on our own.
a little offputting with the payment details requiring cash at the resort, but there is only a small deposit. However i can confirm we had no issues. The correct exchange rate was used and the payment went smoothly with no drama at all. would be more reassuing for future cuatomers if a credit card payment was available - giving added protection and peace of mind, but this is a suggestion and not a complaint. we booked two trips and the rep met us on time as arranged. transfers were again spot on and friendly with all the itinery fully explained we had a seamless transfer to the flight with all the info we needed. Our guide met us exactly as expected and again explained exactly what the itinery was from the get go. The young lady guide (Emy) was very knowledgable with excellent english. our party consisted of a couple and a family of 3, all english speaking. The whole day was a wonder, even the obligitory shopping stops (papyrus and perfume) were interesting with no pressure to buy. Emy made sure we got value for money suggesting cheaper options to the entrance fee for the grand pyramid. the trip started at the musuem with her expert knowledge of the highlights and the must see items all fully explained and put in the context of our tour. excellent photo spots and peaceful no hastle drink stops. full marks to Egypt expeditions and in particulr Emy
The whole booking process was quite painless and easy to do. Communication with Mohamed was efficient & quick. Any apprehensions were soon dispelled. Deposit was paid at the time of booking online. Balance was paid to Omar in Hurghada. He went through all details, told us who & when we would be picked up and gave the necessary vouchers. All his operatives and the excursions were of good quality. A better selection for the flight timing would really be appreciated. Compared to others his pricing was really the best. The Cairo operative was knowledged and passionate and she did the best for us.
Would certainly recommend them to friends & family and I would book again.
This has to be the best value tour you could ever ask for. We also booked with our tour operator to go to on a similar tour and more than double the price of this tour which in comparison was not a patch on this one. Not only do you swim with the dolphins (depending on finding them which we did ;) but also more time snorkelling, a great lunch spread and banana boat ride if you wanted. What more can I say we will see you next year for more of the same.
First and foremost - BOOK THIS TOUR IF YOU'RE GOING ON HOLIDAY TO CAIRO! You will not regret.
Like everybody, we knew of Egypt's great pyramids before going on holiday, not so much the Cairo museum and so booked a tour because we felt like it would be criminal to go to Cairo without seeing the Pyramids up close. Egypt Excursions had the best price we found from any reputable website online and some great reviews so we felt comfortable spending quite a bit of money with them.
You pay a 10% deposit via PayPal when you book, and the rest when you get to Cairo which is also very reassuring.
Throughout the booking process and afterwards Mohamed was great - responded to enquiries quickly and bent over backwards to accommodate our personal requests.
On the day of our tour to the Pyramids we were picked up by Mahmoud, our Egypt Excursions tour guide who was warm, friendly and very funny. Like Mohamed, he bent over backwards to give us a great day for which we were very grateful (so much so we wanted to write a review which we usually wouldn't bother). Everything was so well organised and we have some fantastic memories of a brilliant day.
We would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone holidaying in Cairo, the Pyramids and museum are spectacular.

We booked with Egypt Excursions after using their sister website SharmExcursions.com 2 years ago when we went on holiday to Sharm el Sheikh.
We had already seen the Pyramids and Sphinx, as well as Cairo museum on a previous tour to Cairo from Sharm 2 years ago so we didn't feel like we needed to do another full day tour.
The half day tour to the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx was AMAZING, even after seeing it a second time. As always Egypt Excursions were amazing with their communication, friendliness and professionalism - we would highly recommend.
High on a lot of people's bucket lists is to swim with wild dolphins so no 2nd thoughts on booking this trip. Having already done the road trip to Luxor with same company which was a great day out, We Were eagerly waiting on this trip. Collected after 8 from the hotel, it is a short trip to a small marina where we connected with our boat "Swiss Lady". The boat itself is Standard For the country however the staff On board were more interested in chatting with the single females rather than engaging with families and rest of passengers execpt When It came to selling the usual dvd-pictures. That being Said, the trip was successful in seeing the wild dolphins and capturing them on film etc however it was not noted or mentioned anywhere in correspondence that you had to be a strong swimmer. We assumed anyone who could swim Would be allowed to participate but this was not the case.....the staff made it clear when on board, only strong swimmers would be allowed to go in. We were given the opportunity to snorkel on a couple of occasions which we seized upon and the day was ended with a bit of fun on banana boat and sofa. Overall, good trip out though felt little disappointed in what we purchased and were allowed to do.
We did the luxor and Cairo tour by plane. Started off worryingly we though we were flying to Cairo first day but we didn't we drove to luxor which probably turned out for the better driving through real Egypt. The organisation of the whole trip was fantastic, true door to door service and the luxor guide Marwa was great, learned a lot from her. We stayed in a 4 star hotel in luxor and was checked in by Marwa and she made sure everything was right for us before leaving. On the second day we flee to Cairo, and our Cairo tour guide, Will, the self proclaimed "best tour guide in the world" wasn't far off that he was amazing. He loves the history and teaching us the history if the city and of the ancients.
Would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to do a tour. And would definitely recommend asking for Marwa and will as guides if you can.
Giftun Island A lovely excursion slightly marred by pre-existing tummy complaint. 3 or 4 opportunities to snorkel on route. When we got to the island it was just to the beach rather than the restaurant, so no shade or drink. Take some with you. Spoke to Egypt Excursions and they propose suggesting the crew take an ice box with drinks ashore. Lovely crew on the Blue Bells.
Booked through Egypt Excursions because of the brilliant offer buy 3 get one free. Communication is good with Mohammad and Mustafa and all his team. Advised them I was travelling with my Autistic daughter and they went out of their way to help make all our excursions the best they could be. Snorkelling with Dolphins Brilliant excursion on Zenia? Boat (sorry name might not be right.) The crew were amazing. Attentive, informative and funny! My daughter ‘piloted’ the boat for a good part of the trip which she loved. The main tour guide was great – lots of fun and made the trip very pleasurable and of course yes, we had the opportunity to swim with a large pod of dolphins. The boat keeps a pace with the pod so strong swimmers only for this part. I happened to be on the top deck when they appeared and stayed on board and watched with delight as they frolicked alongside the boat. Soft drinks were plentiful and the lunch was freshly prepared on board and very tasty.
Sand dune buggy We had a great morning in a safe buggy (helmets, goggles, scarves and seatbelts provided) negotiating the bumps and dust of the sand dunes just outside Hurghada. Went on to a Bedouin camp, with camels, tea, cold drinks and snake enclosure. This is physically quite demanding! Thought I must be breaking all speed limits but the nature of the terrain just makes it feel like this. A good choice.
We cannot recommend this tour enough! It covered everything you do wanted to do and see and more! WWe saw the best sights and had a wonderful lunch and and we were looked after the whole day! Our tour guide Mahmoud was exceptional - very knowledgable and went th extra mile to ensure we had an unforgettable day and experience! We cannot share how impressed we were and how much we would recommend having a tour with Mahmoud! I wish I could write more but words don't cover it! Thank you so much!
Fantastic 2 days in Cairo by Air. Our tour guide Mahmoud was excellent, really knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and caring, we were treated like family all the time we was on the tours.
The 2 days included a visit to Memphis, Saqqara, the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, the Egyptian museum, the Citadel and Old Cairo. We also enjoyed a cruise on the Nile and shopping in the market and other shops in Cairo.
Mahmoud organised all the tickets for the sites for us and took us to 2 quality restaurants in Cairo for lunch. He also ensured we checked in to a good quality hotel without any problems
I would highly recommend Mahmoud if going to Cairo, he will ensure that you have a fab time and come away very happy
Thanks Mahmoud
For the 2 days in Luxor, we went by road which was a really good experience.
We met our tour guide Marwa in Luxor. Marwa was a wonderful and excellent guide, very knowledgeable and caring, again we were treated like family.
Our 2 days in Luxor included a visit to Karnac and Luxor temples, both were amazing. We also visited the Colossi of Memnom, Queen Hatshepsut's temple and the Valley of the Kings all the tickets etc sorted out by Marwa.
We visited Tutankhamen's and Ramses VI tomb both extra charge at the valley of the kings but well worth seeing. We also went for another sail on the river Nile in a Feluccia and did a small amount of shopping.
Marwa took us to 2 fab restaurants and looked after all the checking in at the hotel for our stay overnight.
Marwa was a really nice lady who i can highly recommend for a tour in Luxor, she will go above and beyond to look after your every need and ensure that you have a fab time in Luxor.
Both Mahmoud and Marwa will ensure that you see everything you want to see and even go the extra mile to offer extras to make your visits even more special.
Overall Egypt Excursions has been brilliant and would highly recommend to anyone going to Egypt. They will even look after your transfers from the airport to the hotel and back.
If you have any worries or concerns they are always on the end of the phone to help you, no matter what time of the day or night. Mohammed Mahdy booked everything for me and really put my mind at ease throughout the process, he was really helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure me and my family had the best time of our lives in Egypt.
Thank you Egypt Excursions for everything, we will 100% use you again in the future.
I booked the trips to Luxor & Cairo from home and have to admit I was quite concerned not knowing the Company and with all the stories you hear about Egypt nervous about travelling in the Country with my family.
Egypt excursions were fabulous and put all my concerns to one side. The trip to Luxor we had a guide called Marawa, she was absolutely fabulous, as soon as she met us she put us all at ease especially my 2 nieces who are 9 & 10 years old and that was lovely to see. Marawa was passionate and knowledgeable about all the places we went to see and I have to say she made the trip for us all. Highlight of the trip was seeing the valley of the kings, my only regret is not going into Tutankhamun's tomb it does cost extra so make sure you take enough spending money!
The trip is a long one a full day out with some long bus journeys at the beginning and end of the days, be warned they drive very differently in Egypt so hold onto your hats!
The Cairo trip was also great in terms of everything we saw and going inside pyramids, simply fabulous. We really enjoyed the museum and loved going to the papyrus factory where we got some pictures it was really cool. Again its a full on day and very tiring with a plane trip either end of it, you need to ensure you take enough money, we were a little light on cash as it was the end of our holiday and so we didn't go into all the pyramids as a result.
Great trips, great Company, don't hesitate in travelling in Egypt you won't regret it!
if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Fantastic 2 day trip to Cairo with Egypt Excursions. Everything was perfectly arranged from our pick up early on Monday morning till our drop off back to our hotel yesterday evening. A special thanks goes to our guide Mahmoud who we feel went above and beyond with how he looked after us and how he did the tour.
would thoroughly recommend the trip and would also recommend you ask for Mahmoud as your guide.
we have Simi submarine and 1 day to Luxor shortly and hope these will also be so perfectly arranged.
I have booked several trips with Egypt Excursions for August 2018. I had very specific requirements for my trip party and Mohammed has ensured that all of our requests will be met. The care and customer service has been first class and gives me great confidence that our time in Egypt will be a great experience. I highly recommend Egypt Excursions to all. I will of course post reviews of all the trips afterwards.
1st off...hats off to Will, OMG such a gent, good sense of humour, knew his history and was so caring. So we got picked up from hotel on time, drove to the airport, we picked up 2 other English girls, Lisa and Megan, hey if ur reading this, you also made our day! Got on the plane, plenty of instructions given so we knew where to go n what to expect. Plane was fine, got a few little snacks tha were free. We met our tour guide before we even made the exit doors, I seen him with a big gang of people and thought oh no, there's going to be loads of us...turns out he was helpin people who wer a little lost, he did this a few times which I thought was lovely, apart from the 2 English girls we had Will all to ourselves. We had a drive around Cairo to get the feel of the culture, he showed us some famous buildings on the way to the museum, (pay extra to see the mummies, it's worth it cos they are well known) went to the pyramids and sphinx, inside a pyramid tomb, rode a camel, boat ride on the river Nile, had dinner, went to a papyrus making and oil burning shop. Also need to mention the driver, he was everywhere we went, he would drop us off at the pyramids entrance doors and be waitin for us right on the other side, literally had to walk 10 steps and you were back in the mini van, amazing, the heat was unreal so this just took the edge right off especially with the air con. They really took care of us, if we needed anything, haggling, drinks, very attentive, I mean...he even took us to Burger King before our flight home cos we were peckish. Don't book with any1 unless it's Egypt excursions, fantastic service, smooth trips, definitely worth the money. I would do it all over again tomorrow if I had the chance. Thankyou so much, I will never forget this trip, Vikki and Jemma
I do not know how to describe the many emotions experienced in a single day in Cairo. When we arrived to the airport we were a bit hesitant about how will be the tour, tired after a long day in Luxor the day before and just a few hours of sleep. But as soon as we met our guide MAHMOUD MUSTAFA, the fatigue had vanished. With passion and knowledge, Mahmoud made us to touch with our hearts so much wonder and love this awesome treasure. Although the tour included stops to some shops and others extras, Mahmoud did not put any pressure on us but made us feel free to make the day as we pleased. He had infinite patience to satisfy our every request to answer a thousand questions. I was really suprised how Mahmoud with maturity, intelligence and a lot of love for his city, he made us travel with his stories through the two faces of this Capital, wealth and poverty, its multireligiosity, talk about history and actuality, a comparison and exchange of lives and hopes. Mahmoud was not just an unknown guide but a true companion of this trip, an excellent person who made our day unforgettable memory.
Luxor transpires of beauty in all its rock. We did not know what to expect when only the night before we decide to embark on this adventurous trip. The journey was a marvel of change, from the sea to the desert to end the Egyptian countryside, I felt like I was living in one of the many Egyptian films. The day began with a welcome from Mahmoud, who with patience and so much knowledge made us discover this treasure unknown to us. From the temples, the valley of The Kings to the cruise on the Nile, with care and attention Mahmoud made sure that our day was pleasant. I think a single day in Luxor is not enough, it need more time to explore it deeply.
I can’t recommend this excursion enough. It was interesting and fun, the day was filled with activities, we got a real feel for the cities as well as it’s ancient history. Will, the tour guide was informative and funny- he really made the trip. He was knowledgable about most facets of Egyptian history as well as providing insights into present day socio-political situations. We had a lovely lunch and were really well accommodated by the company. I had friends that had done excursions organised but the hotel (jasmine palace) that were left disappointed so I highly recommend booking with Egypt excursions. Thank you - Ben and Chloe
Travelling to Cairo by plane was definitely the best option. It was very organised and managed to board and land us easily. At Cairo airport we were met by our tour guide, Abdul. Abdul was very talkative and funny. He explained our all day and gave us some information. Firstly we went for a Nile boat trip and then we continued our tour to the Egyptian Museum. Abdul took us around the most important artefacts in the museum and gave us the important background information behind them. Afterwards, we continued on to a restaurant, the food here was very good and fresh. We had then taken to the pyramids. Abdul had made sure that we all had very nice photos in all the places we had been throughout the day. Again he explained us all the history behind the pyramids. After that we had some spare time, when we went to a papyrus and a perfume factories. Overall Cairo was a great experience. The only problem we had was related to our return to Hurghada. Our transfer supposed to be waiting for us at the airport right after our airplane landed, however nobody was there and we had to call/text the company and wait about 30 minutes until someone appeared. That was the only negative point about our day. We also did other tours with the company which were amazing!!! Therefore, I really recommend them to everyone going to Hurghada. You will not regret! And they several nice options to choose, for every taste :-)
Travelling to Cairo by plane was definitely a good idea. For the plane ride, it was very organised and managed to board and land with ease. When arriving the Cairo airport we were met by our tour guide, WILL. WILL was straight away very welcoming and spoke to us like he had known us before the trip. He had assured us that the day would be good of which it was so. Straight away from Landing WILL was telling us information about our onwards journey and making sure we understood. Firstly we arrived at the Citadel, he was explaining to us about the sites and the surrounding areas. He had noticed that we were a little sleepy from the journey and kindly bought us all a drink of which was muchly appreciated. we continued our tour to the Egyptian Museum, he had taken us around the important artefacts in the museum and told us the backgrounds behind them. WILL had made sure that we had seen the tresury of Tutankhamun. He had then given us free time to roam the museum as we please. Afterwards, we were then given the opportunity to take a boat trip on the Nile; from then we had seen how the buildings were situated and the different working classes that lived there. we had continued on to a restaurant, the food here was really nice and fresh and service was again brilliant. We had then taken the car to the pyramids, WILL had made sure that we had exclusive views of the pyramids without all the tourists in view. He had made sure that we had the opportunity to take some photos from a different persective. He had given us the opportunity to go inside a pyramid without having to pay and with no tourists to fight over. WILL had made sure that we understood all history to its best potential and at one point sat us down and explained to us all about it. Afterwards, we had some spare time, we were able to experience papyrus making and glass sculpting of which we had bought one of each item home. Overall Cairo was a great experience, But having WILL as our tour guide made it unforgettable

The desert jeep ride was very good, but at the same time, the driver made sure we were comfortable with the journey. It was an enjoyable ride for all ages. When we had arrived at the Village, we were all sat down in a hut and explained by the main tour guide that the village was only there for tourists and that the people that lived there were basically actors. He wasn't very informative towards the history of the village or the people that would have lived there. Arriving back at the jeep depot we were taken for food and drinks, and Shisha smoking with a show. Overall the entertainment picked up the mood for the day, but everything could have been a lot better.
Additional Information - Enjoyed the jeep ride and the entertainment in the evening. Disappointed about being told that the village was just a sham and was not told any more information following that. The Tour guide was very half-hearted when speaking to the group. The food in the afternoon has since made me and my boyfriend ill and wouldn't recommend the excursion.

We had travelled by an Air-conditioned car for approximately 5 hours to Luxor with a halfway resting point. I found the whole travel interesting to watch as we had changed from the sea, desert, and agricultural lands. When arriving in Luxor, we were welcomed by MARWA. MARWA was very approachable and friendly and straight away made us all feel comfortable and ready to go on the tour. She was an excellent tour guide in which she was able to tell us about the sites that we visited and answer any other questions that we had. She was passionate about giving the right information and making sure we were able to see all the best places. She never rushed us around and gave us plenty of time to take in the surroundings. MARWA had given us the opportunity to take a boat trip onto the Nile, this was amazing to see all the lands and locals that surround the Nile. MARWA had chosen a nice restaurant for us all to eat in, the food and the service was to a great standard.
Additional information - I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day experience! MARWA was a brilliant Tour guide, couldn't recommend more. I Will be travelling back to Egypt once again for the experience but will be taking a 2-day tour in Luxor with MARWA as I feel that there is so much more to see.

For our first Excursion in Egypt, we decided to go snorkelling in the red sea and Giftun Island. On arrival, everyone was helpful getting everyone organised and onto the right boats. Our boat crew were really friendly and talkative and made sure that we had a good time. They took time and attention to people that were less confident about snorkeling. They made sure that we had seen the best of what the red sea had to offer in relation to fish and coral, and also took good quality photos of our experience on 3 occasions; in and out of the water. We were served food on board which was to a very good standard. we were given a full packed adventurous day, but also there was time to enjoy the surroundings and sunbathe.

If I could rate higher than a 5 I would. Yes, it was a long journey but we couldn't have had better care or attention. Our guide Mahmoud was amazing, hugely knowledgeable about his country and passionate about it's history. As we took the VIP tour it meant we could control our day, where we went and how long we stayed. Mahmoud and his driver were more like friends....chatty, up for a laugh and more than happy for us to take as long as needed at each location. We look a small day trip through another company via our hotel....never again! Egypt Excursions all the way from now on!

After researching ‘day tours to Cairo by plane from Hurghada’, we decided to book our tour with Egypt Excursions two days before travelling to Egypt. We had read a number of positive reviews about the company and the tour itself seemed very good value for money. The booking was simple and only required a 10% deposit, the remaining balance was to be paid in Egypt in either Sterling, US Dollars, Euros or Egyptian Pound.
The process following the booking was very efficient, with immediate confirmation and details provided by Mohamed for meeting the representative in Egypt. We received the e-tickets for the Cairo flight and all relevant information in a meeting with the rep the day after our arrival, we then paid him the remaining balance.
For the tour day we had a private transfer to and from the airport, along with a private guide and driver for the day in Cairo which was great. (Note…if you plan to take water bottles to the airport it is likely that you will be asked by security to throw them away or drink them, you will however be given drinks and a small snack on the plane)
We cannot express how much our guide, Will, made the day interesting, fun and informative for us – he was absolutely brilliant! From start to finish he looked after us (especially caring for my Mum who finds it difficult to walk at times) and nothing was too much trouble. He was humorous and entertaining (he even managed to get me to dance to ‘Walk like an Egyptian’ at the pyramids!)
He took us to the places we expected to go to as part of the trip, but also took us on a walk around the old part of Cairo - the walled city, this was unexpected but was very interesting. Will knows a lot of people in Cairo and as such you always felt that you were part of the local life as you talked to local people. We always felt very safe with Will and we were not pestered.
At the Egyptian museum, Will did a fantastic job of making sure we were there before the crowds. In the museum he explained key artefacts with engaging stories, and also made sure we had free time to further explore the museum ourselves.
Will took us to a restaurant near to the pyramids (El Dar Darak) with amazing food and an entertaining atmosphere. We had a 4/5 course meal there, the food was excellent and plenty of it (we were even asked if we wanted more food)! We were given Fez hats and an Egyptian costume during the meal to dress up in which just added to the humour of the day.
At the pyramids, Will made the experience amazing for us, as did our driver who drove us from one pyramid to the next rather than walking in the heat – this was definitely appreciated by both my Mum and I. We cannot thank Will enough for the inspirational photographs he took of us at the pyramids, giving us some wonderful memories to look back on. He made the day exceptional and a visit to remember with lots of interesting experiences.
Our driver was also fantastic, he was there for us throughout the day. Whenever we were finished he was there to pick us up promptly and take us to the next location. He was always very courteous opening the car door for us and ensuring the car was cool (which was appreciated on such a hot day).
Our return driver from the airport to the hotel (who had taken us to the airport earlier) was excellent too. He was waiting at the airport to pick us up and got us back to our hotel as quickly as possible after a long and exciting day.
We are so pleased that we chose to go with Egypt Excursions; this company is efficient, great value for money, with great drivers and a fantastic guide! We would definitely book with them again.
We have just done to weeks in makadi bay and while we was there we used Egypt excursions for our 4 trips we went on the submarine which was a great day out, we went on 2 boat trips with them and also done Cairo by plane the company is very professional and Omar and Mohammed who we met with was very nice and knowable... all our trips were in comfy mini vans, could not praise them enough for the quality of the trips and the knowledge they have would highly recommend this company for your trips rather than getting ripped off by TUI or any other company out there.. just wanted to say thanks for making our holiday that extra bit special :)
Excellent day from start to finish. Driver came on time very polite and friendly. Our tour guide was very good spoke excellent English and made the tour very interesting. When I go again I will make the trip again but this time do the 2 days. Many thanks for a great day out.
This trip is a definate must over 2 days well organised, Marwa was an excellent guide very knowledgeable making it an interesting experience never rushed us at all it was a very relaxed lovely time, seeing the many sites of interest. On our first day upon arriving from Hurghada we visited many places on the West bank then having an enjoyable lunch, we started sailing to bannana island by felucca once we completed this visit we set sail to our hotel which was on the East bank of the Nile truly amazing. Marwa check us all in very efficiently allowing some free time to rest prior to our visit to the Karnak Sound and Light show then for evening dinner. The 2nd day we had breakfast at the hotel then visited Karnak and Luxor temple truly wonderful sites to see, we then had our lunch then was able to sail once again on the Nile by Felucca then have a horse drawn carriage round tje market and soul before returning to Hurghada by mini bus. Marwa our guide was with us throughout these visits her enthusiasm never diminished and was an excellent and interesting guide who made the whole visit thoroughly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the 2 day visit to Luxor the ability to see everything in an enjoyable and relaxed time scale. You will not go far wrong booking with Egypt Excursions if you are looking for an enjoyable way to see Luxor.
Really want to praise your company and our guide Fatma for a well organised and exceptional visit, it was a wonderful visit Fatma was a very knowledgeable guide who made it a thoroughly enjoyable trip, we visited all the places of interest and was never rushed at any time. Lunch was included during the day which we thoroughly enjoyed. I do recommend taking a flight as it allows so much more time when there to see as much as possible which included the Sound and Light show at Giza to conclude our day before return flight back to Hurghada. You would not go far wrong by booking with Egypt Excursions if you are looking for an enjoyable way to see Cairo
We were picked up at 4:45am promptly by a nice gentleman who we met the night before to get our details . We was brought to the airport and didn't have to wait to long for the plane to be boarded , once we arrived in cairo we was met by our tour guide Abdul , who from beginning to end was the most amazing , informative abd fun tour guide i think i have ever had. He made learning about the history of the pyramids and egyptian artifacts more fun than school!!! And im 25!! Before the pyramids we went on the river nile and then had some amazing lovely food from a little quaint restaurant. Through the whole day we brilliantly entertained by our tour guide Abdul. Kudos to you
I can’t wait to come back and see more with you!
We booked the private Hurghada to Luxor tour, when I saw the pick up time I was dreading it (4am)... However, the quality of the vehicle and the driver quickly started to make my fears and apprehension dissolve.
On route to Karnak we met our tour guide, Marwa. Marwa is so knowledgeable and friendly we had an amazing time. From the onset Marwa was friendly and approachable- no question was a stupid question and she had the answers at her fingertips.
I wanted to buy some gifts for family and friends and Marwa and the driver fitted in the time during the tour to do this.
The buffet lunch on the banks of the Nile was good too- lovely baklava!
I can’t recommend this tour enough- despite not experiencing the other guides I can highly recommend asking for Marwa as I couldn’t fault her!
Definitely pay the extra for the Tomb of the Golden Boy King (Tutankhamun)!
My guide Mahmoud from Sharm excursions once again picked me up on time from the hotel lobby. We spent the day touring round Karnak and Luxor temples seeing some of the most spectacular Ancient Egyptian monuments. We went for lunch at a local restaurant. I can definitely recommend this tour as you get to see and learn a great deal about the Ancient Egyptian civilisation. Finally I was dropped back at my hotel. Dont, hesitate in booking this tour, you won't regret it.
My guide Mahmoud from Sharm excursions picked my up with a driver at the agreed time. We spent the day exploring the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. His knowledge and friendliness made the tour very enjoyable. He also organised for a private boat trip on the Nile with Lunch that ended up taking me back to my hotel. An unforgettable day, thanks Mahmoud.
My driver was waiting at the airport as arranged with my name on a card. We drove to the hotel, picking up my guide for the next 2 days so he could say hello, help with check in and arrange pick up times for the following day. Overall an excellent service.
Firstly this was our highlight of our recent trip to Egypt.
It is a long day being picked up from our hotel at 4.45am (on time) and returning around 9pm but worth it!
We were picked up in a nice mini bus and after collecting another couple were on our way to Luxor. Our driver was extremely friendly and we had some interesting exchanges with him with his broken English.
We met our guide Marwa at Luxor and was very pleasantly surprised that she was going to be our guide all day for the 4 of us. She was brillant and our visits to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Kanak Temple etc were made very special by her
Outstanding value compared to Thomas Cook prices for same tour (£80 cheaper for both of us and a personal guide)
I would recommend Egypt Excursions and would use again when visiting Egypt

Booked a day trip and not sure what to expect but it was a great day. Met by Mahmoud at the airport and then taken for breakfast at a little road side stall. Not sure what we expected but the food was fantastic ( not sure what we ate) and had a great time with the locals. The went to back street cafe which was again great as we wanted to see the real egypt. Then off to the National Museum where we were taken to see all the great treasures. As we had plenty of time we opted for additional trip to Saqquara which although a longish drive was well worth it as the pyramids there were in great condition and the hieroglyphics were amazing. Then off to the Great pyramid which was just mind blowing. Went to a recently opened pyramid where we saw the 4500 year old skull of the son of Ceops. Rounded the day off with visit to the sound and light show at the Pyramids-great end to a fantastic day. f you get the chance to do thas tour try to get Mahmoud as your guide
This was the first time we had ever booked excursions through an external party and not used our travel company rep. We were anxious to begin with that things wouldn't go to plan and all I can say is that any anxieties were laid to rest very quickly and because of our experience with egyptexcusions.co.uk (aka sharm excursions aka al raga tours) we are desperate to return to Egypt and enjoy more experiences in this history and culture filled country. We booked the airport pick up and our flight was delayed by 3 hours but we were still greeted on time by our friendly driver with a warm welcome. We were transported to our hotel and given useful information and advice along the way and were told of all of the finer details of the other excursions we had booked which gave us piece of mind for the rest of our trip. We were given a local contact number in case of any problems or if we had any questions. We went on the quad bike excursions that included a camel ride and visit to a Bedoun tribe. This was professionally run with bilingual staff and exceptional value for money. The experience was amazing and we had a great day. We booked the Cairo trip by road and this is where I would like to give a special mention as this excursion made our holiday and inspired us to return back to Egypt as soon as we can and without doubt book with this excursion company again. We had a personal guide named Osama who was polite, helpful, intelligent, approachable, professional and great company but above all things he was a bank of remarkable knowledge . Osama is an Egyptologist and was able to confidently answer any questions but gave us a remarkable history lesson during our day with him. He took the best pictures and filled us with a passion to return back to Egypt and learn more. Anything we expressed that we wanted to do or know Osama went out of his way to make it possible. I loved the cartouche jewellery piece that Osama wore and he took us to the place he bought his, he was friends with the manager and we were treated so well and were able to buy a lovely Egyptian piece that has a lot of sentiment. I became ill and Sam went and got me medication which made me feel much better and in the early hours when we arrived we were a bit cold and he offered to go and get us warm jackets and he took us for a coffee which he insisted he paid for. Also we didn't have enough money with us to do all the extra things we wanted to do on the trip and Osama paid these things out of his own pocket and allowed us to give him the money at the end of the day. All in all we cant speak highly enough about our experience with a special thanks to Osama and his driver. Claire and John Dundee
We arrived back in the Uk and wanted to express our gratitude on the wonderful experience we had in Egypt and all the Excusions we booked (Cairo by plane, quads, snorkelling and glass bottom boat) all the team were extremely helpful. We were blessed to have basim as our guide In Cairo he was fantastic, very knowledgeable and always had our best interest. Most memorable experience of our lives. Thank you so much.
We booked our trip to Cairo before leaving home , a little skeptical at first but had no need to worry. We were picked up by our driver bang on time along with 2other couple's . After along drive we arrived in Cairo early morning picking up Fatma Bayomi Shaffey our guide for the next too days (I must say our most valuable guide ) Fatma guided us around the museum with great expertise I learnt so much . After lunch we went to the pyramids again fatma was a mind of information and a fantastic photographer she took charge of our cameras and photographed us climbing the pyramids, she also kept the sellers at bay but got us some great deals on gifts we did want to buy . Our over night hotel was great lovely food . That evening fatma and hussin our driver came back to pick us up to take us to the sound and light show at the pyramids it wasn't on the engender but nothing was too much trouble . Next were picked up from hotel with a free choice of what ever we wanted to see or do . Old Cairo town was chosen another great day . Fatma and Husain you couldn't has asked for a better guide and driver ,hope any one booking a trip have the great experience these two provide ,we left having made two new friends . Tina and Mel

5* from start to finish. Unbelievable value and customer service from very experienced and friendly tour providers.
We a group of 7 stayed in Hurgada. After checking various companies we chose egyptexcursions.co.uk.
We booked the 2 day trip via plane. Our tour guides were fantastic throughout probably the best on my travels. They were so keen to take care of our experience & requirements and made us feel secure and in good company. Their knowledge of each place was perfect as it made the tour special. I would like to thank especially Mahmoud in luxor who was so funny and a gem for this company.
The plane trips we so cool as they only are 1hr trips. Evrything was handed to us before we set off so we had no problems. We got to see the pyramids, everything was done as explained. The guides showed us everything and spoke in clear English.
We ended up going to Giftun island (which is beautiful), and other local activities with this company and will highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Mohamed look forward to seeing you again soon.

Our guide Mahmoud was well organised and run our trip exceptionally well. Mahmoud was friendly and helpful. Our tour was very cheap and done a good deal with us.
We had a fantastic day in Cairo with our tour guide Mahmoud. Without him we wouldn't be able to familiarize ourselves with the city. He is very knowledgeable and helpful!
We saw the highlights of the Egyptian museum - just enough of it and the most important parts. Then had a private boat trip on the Nile followed by a very tasty lunch in a cute restaurant near the pyramids. The staff was friendly and professional.
Thanks to Mahmoud we learned the history of these unbelievable buildings and had dozens of very cool photos as well. Other than the pyramids we visited the Papyrus manufacturers and a traditional Bedouin family's perfume shop. The owner was a nice guy and there was no pushing of buying anything. We only bought some magnets and two beautiful papyrus (they glow in the dark) that will remind us of this amazing experience forever.
We often holiday in Sharm El Sheikh but with the UK currently not running trips to Sharm we decided to explore Cairo instead this year - a long overdue trip!
In total we spent around £1,100 on trips with EgyptExcursions.co.uk based on their reputation and reviews, in our opinion this was a thousand pound well spent.
The sunrise camel ride around the pyramids was the first trip we booked for our second day on holiday and it surpassed all expectations, the desert really is absolutely beautiful at that time of day and we had a brilliant view of the pyramids and Sphinx. The camels were lively but safe, and our tour guides were great.
If i had a criticism it would be the breakfast - it was OK but nothing to write home about -overall though this is a tour you have to book!

So i booked this trip in hope of seeing dolphins in the wild for the miss'. Couldnt belive our luck. We seen 2. Apparently earlier in the year theyre summer times theres loads more. Its not like the films. You have to follow the dolphinsand get off in front of them to swim above/next to them. They dont stop after all they're wild not trained. Still a great experience. Had a couple of stops extra snorkelling. Lunch on board was provided and also a go on some banana boats was optional. A great day out. Take sun cream. You will burn on the top deck
Had A brilliant time. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Lovely lunch on board included. A great day out snorkelling and chance to have private pictures too.
Very good service! I could not recommend enough! We booked a group tour to Cairo from Hurghada but we were upgraded for free to a private tour. The driver and the tour guide were great, very friendly and extremly helpful! We had an awesome time and are very grateful to the manager and everybody else that ensured we had a nice time! Well done!!
An absolutely must do trip!!! The whole day was 100% perfectly and professionally organised from start to finish.
Our guide Mahmoud was the perfect host with not only a wealth of knowledge about ancient Egypt but also modern Egypt. He made sure that the day was packed with activities and opportunities to experience every aspect of Cairo and to top it off he displayed his photography talents and we came home with some memorable and funny pictures of the day.
It was amazing day and we packed in done much - mosques, market, castle, nile cruise, lunch in a gorgeous restaurant, papyrus factory, pyramids, Sphinx, perfume/aromatherapy shop - a tiring day but one full of memories so more than worth it! Would definitely recommend booking through Egypt Excursions.
I'm happy to recommend this company after our 2 trips last mohth. They beat everyone on price yet provided a fantastic 5 star service throughout.
We holiday in Hurghada twice a year but have always been apprehensive about venturing out of our beachside hotel so we checked out many tour operators before finally choosing EgyptExcursions to show us Egypt's famous attractions
Our main aim was to see the Pyramids - we didn't fancy spending all day driving from our hotel in Hurghada to Cairo so looked for a Day Trip including flight. There were a number of companies offering similar tours - but we chose EgyptExcursions for 3 reasons: 1) They advertised lowest price and offered discount for multiple trips 2) As there were six in our group they offeredfree upgrade to private trips at no extra cost 3) Communication with Mohamed to answermy queries and agree our requirements was fantastic, clear, quick, professional and friendly.
To book I only paid 10% deposit via PayPal and, after keeping in touch with Mohamed online in the weeks before travelling, we ended up putting all our eggs into one basket by cancelling our existing airport transfers and switching them to EgyptExcursions too (again - at a saving!).
As well as the Cairo trip I booked the six of us onto a day trip from Hurghada to Luxor - this time driving, but again we were upgraded (free of charge) to a private tour.
From the moment we landed at Hurghada, our transport was always there exactly when it was meant to be. We were picked up and escorted around in our very own 12 seater minivan everywhere we went by friendly guides & drivers and Mohamed, who had arranged our trips, was always quick to answer any questions via Whatsapp.
Our first day trip was to Cairo. I'd been in touch with Mohamed the day before via Whatsapp to reconfirm our hotel pickup and sure enough our minibus was outside the hotel at 4:15am as planned for the half hour transfer to Hurghada airport, where we were provided with a flight voucher and escorted to checkin. After a 1 hour flight on a 50 seater Petroleum AIr Services plane (drink & snack provided) we were met at Cairo airport at 7:30am by our guide for the day, Mahmoud who introduced us to our very friendly driver and quickly loaded us into our private minibus for the day.
The traffic in Cairo is a nightmare - I've never seen anywhere so busy, chaotic and noisy but our driver nonchalantly manoeuvred us across town to our first stop at the Saladin Citadel and its amazing views down into Old Cairo and beyond. On the way, Mahmoud pointed out many landmarks and provided an informative insight into the different geographical areas.
From there we went on to visit Egyptian museum, take in a private boatride on the Nile before driving out to Giza for a lovely 3 course lunch ( included in price) followed by an afternoon of wonder at the Pyramids and Sphinx.
Our guide Mahmoud made every part of this trip something to remember. He wowed us with his historical knowledge and always kept it interesting, made us feel safe and welcome at all times, got us through all entrances with no fuss and kept any street sellers at bay. His excellent English and humour meant he was more like a member of our group than a guide and he's probably on most of our photos, which reminds me that we have him to thank for some wonderful pictures that he choreographed and took for us. He also convinced us to take a camel ride to the Pyramids observation point - so glad he did!
Bottled water was provided, on request, on 2 occasions but one thing I would suggest is keeping a good supply of drinks, ideally in a cooler box, in the minibus as it's a very long, hot, busy day and there aren't any obvious opportunities to take on water.
We were able to tailor the day to prioritise the things we wanted to see and do and Mohamed even met up with us for lunch and to say hello. At the end of a very long day we were checked in for our flight back to Hurghada where our transfer awaited to take us back to our hotel. A wonderful day discovering Pyramids and Cairo thanks to EgyptExcursions but special thanks to our guide Mahmoud who helped make our experience memorable.
4 days later, after a few chats with Mohamed on Whatsapp, the same minibus was back to drive us to Luxor. Another early start for a 4 hour drive to meet our guide in Luxor but we were able to stop when we wanted and there was plenty of room to stretch out on the way. Much of the drive there is through mountain/desert but driving through the city of Qena on the way gives a great view of Egyptian life.
We met Marwa, our Egyptian guide for the day who spoke very good English, outside Karnak temple and, after a brief introduction we were quickly through the entrance and into our first, and largest, location of the day. This place is massive and has loads of temples, statues, plinths. Marwa certainly knows her Egyptology - she told us so much about everything we saw and answered any questions we had. If anything she probably gave too much information and we did struggle to take it all in! She was also happy to take our group photos on request although Mahmoud needs to provide her with some training on how / where to take the best pictures!
We were given the option of lunch in a restaurant or on our very own Nile cruise - we chose the latter so we took to the water once again, with a Chicken And Rice takeaway, followed by traditional tea served by the boat captain. It was nice to have some time on the rural Nile after our earlier time seeing mainly hotels and apartment buildings in Cairo. There then followed a rather unnecessary stopoff at an island growing bananas where Marwa also took the opportunity to sell my wife a necklace before we transferred back to our waiting minibus four our afternoon excursions, first to Hatshepsut's temple then to Valley Of The Kings.
Marwa's knowledge was again in evidence as she told us so much about what we were seeing at the temple, before leaving us to look around on our own. From there, the short drive to Valley Of The Kings included a stopoff at an Alabaster factory. The owner provides a demonstration of how it's made which had us all in stitches with his workers' Minions impressions. Even if you don't buy anything from his store the demo alone is worth a visit and donation.
Our Valley Of The Kings ticket includes entrance to any 3 of the 70+ tombs (except TutanKamun's which is extra). Due to the heat we basically picked the first three we hit but all were fascinating.Guides aren't allowed in apparently so Marwa gave us some history before we went into each.
We dropped our guide off shortly after and our driver took us back to Hurghada - happy to stop if/when we wanted to. Long drive back to our hotel but well worth it - another great trip!
In summary: Memorable trips provided by a fantastic, reliable company at an unbelievable price. And Mohamed - Mahmoud deserves a payrise!
We booked two trips from their website -Egypt excursions. One was tour to Alexandria from Cairo and another one was Luxor from Cairo. Both trips were equally amazing, enjoyable and knowledgeable. We got exceptional customer service where they picked up us from our hotel and dropped us at the hotel after each trip in comfortable ac car and Micro. They provided drinks and lunch was included in the itineraries, they covered all major attractions with giving us plenty of relaxing time and made the tour an amazing experience overall.
Both of our tour guides - Ibrahim and Mahmoud were exceptionally brilliant. They were very nice, friendly and helpful with great customer service, polite manner and great sense of humour.
We highly recommend them and their services. Much love from us.

We actually booked this trip when we were in Egypt. Spoke to Mohammed on the phone literally the day before and he was able to sort it out for us. This excursion here is for a coach trip shared with other people. However you can ask for the private trip at a small extra cost. We got the private one as we would be able to enjoy it more and not have to wait around for other people, also it is alot better as you can have a one on one with your guide too. So again a rep picked us up from our hotel and we were on our way to Luxor. the drive is about 3 hours. Once we arrived we met up with our guide Marwa. She was absolutely lovely, spoke english very well, very friendly and knowledgeable. She taught us alot about everything! This is also another trip i would recommend with a lovely lunch included. At an extra cost if you want you can also take a boat trip down the Nile.
We loved this trip! We were picked up from our hotel at 8am and were taken to the Marina where we got given our diving suits and asked to fill out some papers about our basic health. We then got on the Boat and headed out to sea. All the crew on the boat were all very friendly and accommodating. The diving instructor carefully explained what were going to be doing and showed how to use the apparatus. If you are lucky you may be able to see Dolphins too, if you want they may let you jump in the sea to swim with them and see them a bit more closely. depending how many people there are diving you will have to wait to take turns diving as you have to go in with an instructor. But whilst you wait you can do some snorkeling or just sunbathe on the boat. Lunch is also made and served for you after you have done diving. With refreshments throughout the day. In all it is a very good excursion and the price as well is superb, again would definitely recommend.
Cairo Trip was Amazing! Very well organized, one of the reps from met us at our Hotel the night before with vouchers for ours trips and the flight details for this specific excursion to Cairo. It was an early start the next day, a rep picked us up around 4.45am took us to the airport and we on our way to Cairo by 6am. In Cairo our guide Will was waiting for us a the airport with a private car to take all around Cairo. Will was lovely and friendly and very knowledgeable about everything, couldn't have asked for a better guide. We stopped at the Museum first then headed off to lunch, then went to the pyramids and the Sphinx and we were taken somewhere for some tea. You also have the option of going on a boat trip down the Nile and attend the light show for an extra cost. (which we didn't do) After tea we were taken back to the airport with plenty of time to catch our flight back to Hurghada. Again once we were back in Hurghada a rep was waiting for us there to take us back to the hotel. It is a busy day but it is 100% worth it and at a very very good price. Definitely recommend to anyone.
Egypt is a very beautiful country and its antiquity is well preserved. Marwa was our guide during the trip to Luxor. She is very friendly and warm and she told us very interesting things about the history of the monuments. The guide tour was very pleasant and educational. We can recommend it to anyone to have Marwa as a guide. On the tour you don't have to worrie about anything, everything is arranged on advance! Very pleasant trip we won't forget very easily!
This was a dream come true for me because I was one of the lucky ones. I did get to swim alongside dolphins who choose whether or not they want to swim with you! It was so exciting. However as they make clear, this can't be guaranteed to happen S it's in the wild. Aside from the dolphins we swam alongside beautiful colourful fish and saw the lovely coral reef . The boat trip itself was relaxed and friendly and we hooked up with various fun people from all sorts of countries . It was abbey rewarding day and great exercise as I burned plenty of calories chasing dolphins and fish!!
This was a very early start but soooo worth it!! We were picked up on time as always and driven to airport where we checked in effortlessly . After an hour flight or less we arrived to be met at the airport door by our guide Mahmoud holding a sign. He was the best type of guide you can imagine. Supremely well informed with excellent English he had us fascinated by his facts on Egyptology. First we went to The Rgyptian museum which Helped us understand so much that we saw later. Any question we asked he answered! This trip included The Museuem, The Pyramids, an optional trip down The Nile , a lovely lunch in a restaurant , The Sphinx and all sorts pointed out and explained en route . You also get taken down to a papyrus factory and perfume shop where the hope is of course that you will want to buy. However you are not obliged to and if you are not interested then say so. Simple as that. We bought some perfumes because we knew we Intended to before travelling there but we didn't have to. A guide like Mahmoud Takes your photos for you ( tons!) and keeps hasslers at bay or knocks prices down if there's a need . We felt safe and the whole day was seamlessly organised right until we were chauffeured back to our hotel. It was an absolutely wonderful trip.
I was a bit anxious about taking the trip to Cairo with my two young daughters, so I looked around for a guide and transportation. Went with Egypt Excursions and didn't need to worry about a thing as they left nothing to chance. So well organised, looking back I wish I hadn't have worried about it. Hope to come back a see you all again one day

This day out was one of my best experiences. We were picked up in a minivan dropped off about and hour away from our hotel to the dessert to a camp were we spent the day enjoying thrilling buggy rides. Then a safari drive across the bumpy dessert to a bedioun village were we rode beautiful camels learnt the history. We then went back to the centre for a bbq lunch, fabulas and then gathered for some folk entertainment great family day out and a great experience. Thank you!
Firstly i would like to say a big thank you too our guide william and our drivers for a wonderful experience. On first expectation i did not know what lay ahead and each part of the trip was a waiting game to see what was next. Everything advertised was provided and the experience out lived my expectations. We were picked up from our hotel in hugurda in a mini van, drove to the coach station where the driver waited untill we got on the coach. The coach journey is long, but sleeping through the night helps the time goes quickly and the aircon is fantastic. On arrival in Cairo our tour guide picked us up with a driver in a private minivan and took us straight for breckfast which was needed after the long trip. We then went on the sights as advetised, all the time accompananied by our guide and driver. No long walks just picked up and droped at every location. Stayed in an ok 4 star hotel with pool for the night, no complaints and picked up on day two for the rest of the excursion. We took the trip with two teenagers and a child and we loved it.
I want to say that my family and I, 2 adults and 3 children, had a fantastic time going to Cairo from Hurghada. Yes the wake up time was very early, 1am, but it was all worth. When we arrived in Cairo we were met by Will, the tour guide, who was absolutely amazing, his knowledge was first class and his awareness of what we needed to see and together with what we needed to know. In all you can not falter something that was perfect. Many thanks, Stephen and my family :-)
Absolutely fantastic day trip to Cairo by plane. Organisation seamless and the most brilliant guide Abraham, who was so very attentive and adapted the programme to suit our needs. He was so knowledgeable and we felt safe at all times with him by our side. The highlights have to be the Egyptian Musesum and of course the Pyramids and the Sphinx, truely an amazing and unforgettable experience, thank you Egypt Excursions and in particular Abraham.
When we arrived in Cairo we were collected by Will our Tour Guide. There were 6 of us on the bus in total.
We stopped by the Nile and took a 30minute flukka boat trip, extra cost of 200EGP per adult. We then went onto the Cairo museum, Will took us around the museum and gave some fantastic information, we were then left to look around for 30minutes before getting on the bus.
The 'whats included' states soft drinks whilst on the bus...this was not the case and we had to push to get bottles of water. The guide had a friends young son join the bus trip which in itself wasn't a problem...the problem being he suffers with 'car sickness' and proceeded to be very ill on the bus!
Despite ALL on the bus saying we did not want to stop at the papyrus shop we stopped and were guilted into going inside. This was also the case for the perfume shop.
The itinerary states 'Visit Cairo's most impressive sights on our Cairo tour from Hurghada! We'll fly to Cairo from Hurghada airport and discover the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, the Hanging Church and Famous Bazaars of Cairo!'
However you are not taken to the Hanging Church of the Famous Bazaars...apparently there is not enough time! We had wanted to see the Hanging Church so this was a big disappointment.
We were dropped at the airport in plenty of time...possibly very good when we were dropped at the totally wrong terminal and we had to get a shuttle bus to the correct terminal.
Overall the trip was good, however when you only get to do 3/5s of the planned itinerary it is a little disappointing!
both trips were amazing - well organised and provided for by the guides - both Mahmoud and the other Mahmoud were considerate and friendly and I learnt many facts too :)
We had a great time on our day trip to Luxor. Highly recommend this tour. Would like to take this opportunity to say that our guide Marwa was fabulous and knowledgeable. She was kind, friendly and helpful.
Such a wonderful experience. The staff on the boat were so accommodating. They gave out anti sickness tablets. Drinks and food were supplied.
Nevertheless we were not informed that you have to jump of the boat as they dolphin chase for a while. I was unable to participate due to disabilities which as you can image was upsetting for me and my family.
However one of the instructors lowered me into the water at the second stop and he took me out snorkelling. They supply the flippers, snorkel and the explain everything very well. The banana boat and raft behind a speed boat were included in the price.
Fabulous day. Just if you have any disabilities be aware that you need to jump into the sea to be with the dolphins.
Excellent value. Enjoyed a 2 day trip to luxor. Stayed overnight in a pleasant hotel overlooking the Nile. We were a couple and had 2 guides one each day. Susanne and Mahmoud were both equally informative and friendly. Travelled from hurghada in a car. Journey around 4 hours. It was exceptionally hot so confess to looking for shade. Sites were amazing and anyone in Egypt should try and take in the history. We did add the ballon trip to see the sun rise over luxor and the Nile. Well worth the early rise. Also felucca trip was excellent. My only fault was the itinerary. When booking one expects a general plan but the guides had no real idea what excursions had been paid for. We had to tell them. As it happens we moved couple trips around which suited us but it should have been better organised. Saying that brilliant trip.
We took the Luxor tour from Hurghada on June 1st, very punctual to pick us up ,driver very friendly ,when we arrived in Luxor we were met by our guide Mahmoud who was very friendly and knowledgeable, we were given enough time to see what we wanted to see and we were very pleased with the day.
It was are first visit to Egypt, so we wasn't sure of what to expect, but it was amazing the whole journey from start to finish.people was very welcoming, and if we ever came back I would definitely is a the service again,I Would just like to say thank you so much for showing me your beautiful country. Fran from England.
Aside from the trip to Abu Sir, Dahshur & Sakkara pyramids, I also booked several other trips with Egypt Excursions: Alexandria, Memphis and the overnight trip to Luxor (Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple, Hatchepsut Temple and Karnak Temple). Not once were the drivers late or needed a reminder of any kind - neither in Cairo nor in Luxor. Egypt Excursions ran their business like a Swiss watch!
My guide in the Cairo region, including the trip to Alexandria, was Will. I spent several full days with him and his driver, some days from 6am to 11 at night. Even after such longs days he was always chipper as can be. Most times I was the one running out of steam. And with his jovial encouragements, Will always ensured I don't miss anything of historical significance, or of entertainment value - he was chuck full of nuts when it comes to historical and archeological trivia that you are unlikely to find in any academic literature.
During my overnight trip to Luxor my guide was Marwa. Though I did not spend as much time with her as I did with Will, my Cairo guide, she was also very knowledgeable and always full of suggestions regarding local points of interest.
I am actually extremely pleased to write this review. Egypt Excursions has my highest marks. I highly recommend!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Couldn't have asked for anything better. This was my first time snorkelling and I'm not a swimmer so was very nervous! But the staff were very attentive and took care of all of us! It was beautiful especially Giftun island! If you are planning on coming to hurghada.. I definitely recommend you planning a trip with this company for your excursions! Thankyou for making our trip a trip to remember!
Went on 3 trips. But this was the best. Had a private tour. Bus picked us up very early. Drivers were good. Had a break at a kind of service station. Then to Cairo . Met our guide Memo at Egyptian museum. He was very knowledgeable. Learned a lot. We then went to a papyrus place. Then to a nice restaurant for lunch. We then went to pyramids. How awesome. Memo kept the touts away from us. He explained to us the history of the pyramids. He kept us supplied with drinks. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was the best. He suggested a trip on the Nile. So we did that also. Best day out
Trip was very good. Boat trip out to submarine. Submarine was excellent. The diver was feeding the fish, ensuring we saw plenty of fish. Very good. Only down side was the man with the video camera. Just wanted to enjoy our trip. But he was constantly in you face with camera. Was tempted to throw him overboard. But good trip
Quite a disappointing trip went across desserts in a jeep. In the afternoon. Not at sunset. To a Bedouin camp. Had a ride on a camel for about 2 mins. Nothing else to see here. Back to village for bbq. Food was ok. Then had a traditional show. Man laid on a bed of nails. Some woman did some kind of dance. And then spent most of her time trying to. Pull the audience on stage. Lastly we had a man doing some kind of traditional dance he was really good. but half way through show guide said it was time to leave. Felt I wasted half a day of my holiday
Very disappointing, expected to go in a large boat as per advert, I was taken to a hotel, the boat was a small boat with a glass section perhaps 2ft by 3ft, all the others taking the trip had swim wear as they were staying in the hotel, the trip seemed to be more of snorkelling trip but I felt it had been mis-sold and mis-represented on the web site. Decided not to go as I did not relish spending 2 hours looking a a few fish.
Enjoyed this trip to Luxor, our guide Marwa met us and explained our timetable and offered extra add ons. Marwa was pleasant and very well informed and showed great passion for her Egyptian heritage. She ensured that we all had a good experience, and was eager to answer our questions.
We are always asked to rate our experiences of what we do so for Egypt Excursions, Mohamed for his organization of all the excursions and for phoning to check on how things were going, I have to give you a 100%. And to your tour guide Mohmoud Mastafa 120 %, I highly recommend Mahmoud and Egypt Excursions Egypt Excursions should commended on their choice of drivers, their driving skills and abilities to negotiate the hectic Cairo traffic is mind blowing
We booked 4 tours with Egypt Excursions for our holiday in Hurghada. The booking was easy and we were met on our first evening outside our hotel to pay the balance. We were picked up from our hotel and taken into the desert. The staff showed us how to drive the quadbikes and we followed the guide in a line out into the desert towards the mountains. It was really good fun and we were surprised how far we went! It wasn't at sunrise/sunset but we still had a really good time.
We booked 4 tours with Egypt Excursions for our holiday in Hurghada. The booking was easy and we were met on our first evening outside our hotel to pay the balance. We were picked up on time by the driver from our hotel who took us to the place where the diving boats are (behind one of the other hotels). We were given wetsuits and flippers and the rest of the equipment was on the boat. On the boat there were only a few of us diving and the rest were snorkeling . We hadn't done diving properly before and they carefully explained what we needed to do. They took us out on the boat to the reef and we had 2 goes at diving. We spent a lot of time in the water and saw some fabulous fish and coral. We also had a lunch on the boat and then stopped off at Paradise Island to relax for an hour before heading back to Hurghada. The crew on the boat were all very friendly. It was very hot on the day and they gave us drinks to help us cool down. Overall it was an excellent trip and very good value for money, and very good for beginners!
We booked 4 tours with Egypt Excursions for our holiday in Hurghada. The booking was easy and we were met on our first evening outside our hotel to pay the balance. We were picked up on time by Tahib from our hotel. Our guide Marwa met us at the Karnak temple, she was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide! We then had a short boat ride to a nice restaurant on the other side of the Nile. We visited the valley of the kings which is fascinating! We went inside 3 of the tombs and we paid a small extra fee to see inside King Tut's tomb which is also very good. We also visited Queen Hatsheput's temple and the Colossi of Memnon. All fantatsic sites to see! As part of the trip we also stopped at a place that made alabaster carvings. Overall this trip was a great experience and would definitely recommend it!
We booked 4 tours with Egypt Excursions for our holiday in Hurghada. The booking was easy and we were met on our first evening outside our hotel to pay the balance. Its a very early start for the Cairo trip but Tahib our driver was very friendly and picked us up on time. Our guide Mahmood met us at the Cairo Museum and showed us the amazing treasures there! It was really interesting to see the finds from King Tut's tomb. We then had a boat trip on the Nile. This was an optional extra for £10GBP per person. This was followed by lunch before heading to the pyramids. They are an amazing sight and we got to go inside one of the smaller ones. There's then also the choice to do a camel ride where you can get a great view of the pyramids and is definitely worth doing. Then we got to see the sphinx which was also really interesting. There were lots of photo opportunities. As part of the trip we also stopped at a place that made papyrus and a perfumery. Overall this trip was a great experience and would definitely recommend it!
A very well-desered 5 star review for Mahmood, Mohamed and everyone else at Egypt Excursions for our Cairo Tour from Hurghada! After paying the balance to Mahmoud at our hotel a few days before the trip we were given our tickets as well as all other information we would need.
I'm not sure if it's because Hurghada is quiet at the moment or they are always like this, but we were treated excellently by our lovely tour guide Mahmood (who has 2 young children himself and is fantastic with kids!).
We saw all the things we wanted to see in Cairo at at good price - going by plane would have been better but you pay the extra for it. This is a really good day, and like the other reviewers before us we would definitely recommend it.
A friend advised us to book some tours for our holiday to Hurghada with Egypt Excursions and we were very impressed. As well as the recommendation, prices were also lower than we had seen elsewhere so it was a no-brainer.
We were a little sceptical about paying the 10% deposit before meeting anyone, but as a friend had used them and had a good experience we took the risk and booked the Cairo tour from Hurghada and the Glass Bottom Boat Tour.
The boat itself wasn't the newest or flashiest to be honest but the staff were friendly and there was ample room to view the marine life (Hurghada is very quiet at the moment as is all of Egypt we have been told). We didn't see any dolphins but we did see some very large, colourful fish as well as some turtles which was great. After doing this tour we would have liked to have booked a snorkelling or scuba diving trip actually but was short on time.
The glass bottomed boat tour wasn't as good as the Cairo trip (which we'll review separately), but certainly makes a good day out for the family.
Exactly as stated on the website write-up! The airport transfer was great for what it was - they were waiting at Hurghada arrivals hall for us in an air-conditioned minivan. The driver Mahmood was very helpful with getting our luggage into the van and nice and friendly.
The private transfer service is a great way to avoid the crowds for a few quid
Booked online from the UK. So pleased we used this company, as we were let down by another. Taxi arrived on time at our hotel in Hurghada with a lovely guide who explained the day and who we would meet in Cairo. Dropped us off at the airport and gave us our tickets. Waiting for us in Cairo was Ahmed, another lovely guy and very knowledgeable guide, whose company we enjoyed. Teenage daughter and i had a fantastic day, consisting of Cairo museum, Pyramids and Sphinx, Papyrus centre and Bedouin perfumery. Our taxi driver was very diligent throughout the day on the roads of Cairo. We were dropped off at Cairo airport in plenty of time for our flight back to Hurghada, where we met our original guide Ahmed who dropped us back with the taxi at our hotel. Great day trip with trustworthy people.
Booked from UK prior to departure and paid 10%. Email was received for a meeting at our hotel in Hurghada to pay the balance. Rep was on time, we paid the balance in £sterling and got our ticket and instructions. The minibus arrived as pre-arranged. We had a great visit to Luxor, guide Marwa and driver Tito were excellent. Saw everything, great explanations in good English. Thoroughly recommended but be prepared, its a long day.
Our trip was absolutely amazing! We were so well taken care of and felt so safe. I have to admit we were skeptical to go to Cairo by Coach, but everything was arranged so well. Both the drivers were outstanding and I felt like they were our bodyguards. As for our tour guide...where to start. Will was so wonderful. Not only did he teach us so much about the history of Egypt at the museum and pyramids, but I really felt like I would never have seen Cairo the way I did with him. He made us feel so comfortable right from the start and let us know all the ins and outs and dos and dont along the way. Also, the timing of everything was perfect. We were never waiting around and the drivers would always pull up out of nowhere while other groups were waiting. The drive from Hurghada is quite long...but you are in good hands! I have no regrets and highly recommend them! We also made friends with the other passengers as it was a small group so you won't feel neglected. This day was one of the most memorable of my whole trip. This experience is HIGHLY recommended!
BOOK IT!!! The dolphin tour was brilliant!! I booked this tour, along with a trip to Cairo from Hurghada (also great as mentioned in another review) for myself and my 12 year old daughter. We are both average-ability swimmers who have never been diving or anything like that so was a little apprehensive this tour might be a bit much but it wasn't at all. The captain on the boat was really helpful and the waters were beautifully warm and clear to snorkel in.
The only criticism I would have is the boat isn't the most modern - but this is Egypt!
This is definitely a tour worth doing whilst your in Hurghada - a lovely day out, lovely food, and of-course DOLPHINS!
We originally booked the tour to Cairo by coach. A week before we left for Hurghada we decided to upgrade to the plane trip. We just just sent a message on out bookings page and this was completed without any hassle. This was without a doubt the best excursion we have had on any holiday. My wife, boys, aged 7 and 9, and myself had an excellent time. The flight was around an hour long with Egypt Air, the plane was more comfortable than our flight from England. We were met by our guide just by the exit of Cairo airport who led us to the mini bus. It was just our family, the guide and driver all day long. They were both excellent. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and most importantly he was very friendly and excellent with our two boys. They pyramids and sphinx are such an amazing site. No matter how many pictures or videos you see before you go cannot compare to the actual sight of them once you are there. We were a little nervous before we went on the excursion. Everywhere you go in Cairo and round the pyramids you feel very safe and secure. There are armed police almost on every Street corner it seemed, mainly directing the chaotic traffic, which was an amazing sight in itself. On arriving at Cairo we were taken to the Egyptian museum. Where our guide gave us and excellent tour and lots of information about the Egyptians culture and beliefs. So amazing to see Tutunkhamen in the museum too. After leaving the museum we made our way to Giza where we had an amazing lunch, included in the price, you just pay for your own drinks. The food in the restaurant was so fresh and the vegetables and salad were so full of flavour. Which was what we found in the whole of Egypt. After lunch we made our way to a papyrus shop where they made a short demonstration of how the papyrus scrolls were made, the children were invited to get involved too. At the shop we were given free drinks. We had a look around the shop. There was no pressure to sell. They were that beautiful we ended up getting 3 which are now sitting proudly in our lounge at home. We then made our way to the pyramids. This was really the pinnacle of the day. It is such an amazing feeling being in the presence of these wonderful structures. We all went on a camel ride. I would say if you are afraid of heights this might not be for you. My wife was very nervous on the camel, they are so high up. The man who took us on the camel ride got some amazing pictures of us all with the pyramids in the background. So if you can persist through any fear of heights it is really worth it. The whole day we got some amazing pictures. We went in one of the smaller pyramids, included in the price. It is a little difficult to navigate your way down as you are crouched whilst making your way down the sloped entrance. We decided against going into the biggest pyramid at Giza as I had been told by a friend who had been before that there was not much to see inside. After the pyramids we went round to see the sphinx. Again this was amazing and got some great pictures. The end of the day you stop of at a fragrance shop where they show you how they make the glass and give you a talk on different fragrances. Again there was no pressure to sell. We did not but anything from here as it was not really anything we were into. The products were all pretty amazing. It was a really long day and we were really tired come the end. I am so glad we done this excursion as it really made this holiday the best one we have ever been on. This was out first trip to Egypt and have already booked to come back in 18 months. We went December 2016 and the temperature was lovely. We will be definitely be using Egypt excursions again when we come back. Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful memories which we will hold dear to us for the rest of our lives.
As an English-born Christian, I find religious sights very interesting from both a religious and historical prospective. After booking our tour to the pyramids of Giza with Egypt Excursions we decided this tour would also be interesting - as a way of seeing the "city" if you like rather than just the cliche sights. I must say we we all very impressed with Egypt Excursions - booking was very easy and the staff are all very helpful. The tour was really good, in my opinion better than the pyramid tour as we saw so much of Cairo on what was a a fairly short tour.
We booked a holiday to Hurghada in December 2016 as flights to Sharm, where we usually holiday were suspended at that point.
Hurghada is a beautiful place, not as developed as Sharm El Sheikh but beautiful and offering some great water-based excursions and tours which we booked through Egypt Excursions.
We dealt with Mohamed who was excellent over email after we booking online, paying the 10% deposit through PayPal.
In total we booked 2 snorkelling tours as we wanted to make the most of Hurghada's fantastic waters, as well as the Cairo Tour from Hurghada. The day was absolutely amazing, we saw so much of Cairo's ancient sights such as the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx and was lucky enough to have Mohamed himself as our guide - thoroughly recommend him if he's free!
Was very pleased overall with Egypt Excursions, would book again
Id arrange a transfer from Luxor Airport to my hotel, and then a trip to the East Bank the next day
As soon as I departed the Domestic arrivals Mahmoud was waiting for me, straight to a car and driver and then swiftly to my hotel where Mahmoud waited until my check in was complete. We arranged for a pickup the next day at a time suitable for myself.
The next day Mahmoud was waiting for me along with the same driver. A quick drive to Karnak temple where Mahmoud gave me a great tour explaining everything about the history and answering all my questions, then plenty of time to explore by myself. Then onto Luxor temple for another great tour and safely transferred back to my hotel where we arranged to take another tour a couple of days later to the West bank even though the website said that the tour wasn't available on the day I wanted
I can't thank Egypt Excursions and Mahmoud enough for a great tour and it was great to have the flexibility to customise the tour to what was important to me
I have always enjoyed Egypt but having a private tour takes everything to a higher level, I can't thank Egypt Excursions enough for the professinalism and the flexibity that you don't get from other tour companies
It started with a little shock when the guy who came to give our vouchers and pick up the money wanted to meet outside the hotel. I felt a little insecure as it was our first day and it didn`t look too promising outside the resort. But everything was fine. The trip to Cairo was great. The pickup time was 4:30 am and by the time we reached the lobby the driver has already been waiting for us. Be careful at the airport and do not put any liquids, suncream or prohibited item into your hand luggage as they will take it away. In Cairo our tour guide was waiting for us at the airport...to be precise outside as they did not let her in as she was a woman! We went to see the Egyptian museum, what was interesting, but you can only take a photo inside if you pay for it! We got a little info from the guide, and she rushed us through the rooms. Although she gave us some free time in the end, although I would have preferred for a slower walk over the free time. Take water or snacks with you as there are no shops or coffee places around! Then she asked us to go for a trip on the river Nile for £10/person - do not do it!! It is a waste of money, and you will have much less time by the pyramids! Then went for lunch, what was acceptable. Next stop were the pyramids...and she was rushing us a lot. She said it is because we must leave in time to avoid traffic and be back for the flight, but in reality, she wanted you to visit perfume and papyrus shop! Make it clear at the beginning that you don`t want to do that, rather spend your time in cultural places! Like we saw no mosques or temples, did not walk on the street or been on the market. We we reached the first big pyramid I wanted to stop but she said don`t worry u will have plenty of time on the way back...but on the way back the driver just passed and when I asked she said ..oh sorry...we can`t go back that way, it would take too much time. But I insisted so eventually so we did it. All in all, we had a beautiful, well-organised trip, but If I had a chance to do it again I would make the guide to spending more time in Giza, and won`t let her take me into shops. The company is reliable. Therefore I recommend. ( Tipping the driver and whoever you contact is not necessary. They make you feel that you should, so if you want make sure you have small change on you)
i spoke to Mohammed before i left the UK who was very helpful and friendly and the communication prior to my trip was excellent. On the day of our trip we were picked up from our hotel to the airport then upon landing in Cairo we were met by the wonderful Mahmood. Mahmood proceeded to give the most enjoyable tour of Cairo where we saw the Cairo Museum, The Giza Pyramids, The Papyrus Museum and an authentic Egyptian aromatherapy shop. Mahmood was very knowledgeable and managed to keep the tour interesting and enjoyable even for my young teenagers which was no easy feat. We got to meet Mohammed on our travels and both Mahmood and Mohammed could not do enough for us and my sons absolutely adored them and have insisted that we must invite them to come to our home in the UK. A 5* Tour and a 5* service, would definitely use again and I highly recommend Egypt Excursions to anyone who is thinking of visiting Egypt.
I can see why this is one of the best dive sites in the world!
Waeel was my instructor , he was patient, friendly, professional, clearly very skilled and experienced. The whole crew of the boat were so accommodating I really enjoyed the full day
I am a beginner diver and now I have taken it up as a hobbie and want to come back for a full week of just diving.
Fantastic trip. It is a long day 4 hours each way by coach! And it is extremely hit 50C plus so be prepared. If you have time make sure you stay over night. The hotel is beautiful and located on the Nile! The final site temple of karanak is a bit of stretch for one day. I could barely take the heat. I loved the sites. My guide Marwa was very attentive , knowledge welcoming and friendly. She has a genuine passion for the job and the history of Egypt. I paid an extra 10er to do the Nile cruise which I recommend. I have a minor criticism, I did not like the blunt way I was asked for a tip and the negativity when I did not.
Mahmoud Mostafa is a wonderful guide and went out of his way to make this a day to remember for myself and my wife. Cairo is an amazing city and though it was a long tiring day (we left the hotel at 4:30 am and returned at nearly midnight) it was a day we will both remember for the rest of our lives.
His knowledge as amazing and I would recommend him to anybody, we paid the extra for a Nile cruise and camel rides both well worth doing.
Wow! What a fantastic place. Good transport around in air-conditioned comfort. Fabulous tombs, just dripping history. We were fortunate to have really knowledgeable guide, Mahmoud, who just made the place live for us. Trips around here belong on everyone's bucket list. We recommend unreservedly.

We flew into Luxor from Istanbul via Cairo. Our first flight was delayed and we missed the connection. That meant we were some hours late arriving in Luxor. Fortunately we had been able to contact the company, so a Driver and guide were waiting for us when we arrived. During the trip into the Nile Palace Hotel our guide, Mahmoud, offered his services during the week. He specialises in guiding German-speaking tourist mainly, but his English was perfect. We agreed. What a good decision that was. In the next week Mahmoud was able to show the best sights of Luxor and the surrounds, gave us a lesson in Egyptian history, and proved to be excellent company.

From many years of travelling around the world, my wife and I have become very aware of how much difference a good, knowledgeable guide can make when you visit historical sites. We were very fortunate to have Mahmoud, a trained Egyptologist, fluent in English and German, to guide us around Luxor. He really made the place come alive for us. It is all fascinating. The fact that so much of the place was buried in sand until relatively recently adds layers of interest. We actually had more than one day, and we did tours of the Valley of the kings and other places on the West bank as well as day and night tours of Luxor. The Caliche tour of the market, with people swirling about and us having to duck under stuff was really colourful. You really must visit.

The Luxor tour was fantastic, learnt a lot about the Egyption history all thanks to our tour guide Mahmoud, great guy, highly intelligent and answered all questions I had to ask. Make sure you ask for Mahmoud when booking this tour you will not forget your time in Luxor.

SharmExcursions General Review
The night show in Hurghada was pretty good with a lively atmosphere. Our 2 year old sat through it (even though it went on till quite late) and 5 year old girl loved it - especially the horse show.
As the description says, if you're looking for a nice night out in Hurghada away from the hotel then this is great.
We went to Hurghada when all the flights to Sharm El Sheikh had been cancelled by EasyJet in March 2015 and we were give the opportunity to re-arrange our holiday.
We were pleasantly surprised by Hurghada, it seemed a lot less busy than Sharm El Sheikh and had a more relaxed atmosphere as others have mentioned.
Before leaving we booked 3 trips with Egypt Excursions on the recommendation of a friend who had used them before and stayed in contact with Mohammed. On booking we found him to be very friendly and helpful with good English - we got the impression he was happy to have the business from us as he had a lot of time for us and we exchanged a number of emails before we left about pickup and the details of our tours.
The deserts that surround Hurghada are surprisingly beautiful and a great place to see the real Egypt and it's beautiful sunrise. We would gladly book again.
We booked 4 tours in Aswan with Egypt Excursions and they were all very good from booking to the day. All the guides we had were really funny, happy people although it was very sad to hear how much they had been struggling over recent years with the trouble Egyptian tourism had been going through. Aswan temples are really huge, the entrance is completely humbling and its great to see an ancient monument that had been preserved so well. Quite a long journey to Abu Simbel but so worth it. Also the lunch provided was much better than expected.
The Sound Light Show at Philae Temple was a lovely way to learn the meaning of the hieroglyphics. A dramatic show and absolutely beautiful under the starlight. Get there by boat which is also a treat.
We loved this tour. As the trip information says, there's not a lot of people that count themsleves as dam fans, but this trip is actually so much more! The unifnished obelique was really interesting, crazy to think how long ago this project was started and what it must have been like at that spot all those thousands of years before we were standing there.
The dam at Aswan was actually really interesting too, our brilliant guide told us about how the local tribe had been made homeless by the flooding and moved to new towns that had been built for them and the problems that came with it.
After the obelisque we had a really nice lunch at a local resturant before visiting Phiae temple complex. This was what sold the tour to me and it completely lived up to the hype. A fantastically well-preserved group of temples on a beautiful island in the middle of Lake Nasser (hope i've spelt that correctly!?)
We we're really pleased with the tour, special thank you to our guide Mohamed who was AMAZING :)

This was our second holiday in Egypt and we were desperate to try Hurghada's famous fishing whilst we were there. The fishing trip was well organised, captain very friendly and the fishing was simply immense!
Being from the UK, we had never fished anything as big as the tunas and barracudas we were catching in Hurghada - they were absolutely enormous! A fantastic day by Egypt Excursions, we would definitely book again.
The snorkelling tour with EgyptExcursions was lovely, we were picked up promptly by a friendly representative and taken to the dock in Hurghada where we were introduced to the captain. We went quite late in the season so our boat wasn't very busy - but this was better for us. Magawish Island was even more beautiful than the pictures make out, and although we didn't see any dolphins (we asked the captain and apparently there actually are some) we did see a lot of different types of fish and even a turtle which was amazing. The waters were warm and nice and clear making them ideal for snorkelling and also very calm which helps if you're not the most confident swimmer like ourselves.
We find ourselves returning to Hurghada every other year or so and will most definitely be using Egypt Excursions again when we do.
I absolutely loved the trip! Everything was organised so well, we were picked up on time, we were shown loads of really interesting things. Our tour guide Mahmoud was fantastic, really friendly and funny. He knew so much about the history of Egypt and made it really fun and entertaining. I would definately recommend this tour company!!!
Just wanted to share our feelings and experiences of Egypt Excursions. We booked 5 tours with them after a recommendation from a friend who had been on tours with them before.
Although we were a little sceptical about paying the 10% deposit before we met anyone, everything went to plan and the tours couldn't have been any better organised or in our opinion, represented better value for money compared to the high street names.
The Snorkelling trip to Giftun Island was a fantastic day, the snorkelling was great and we saw dolphins on the way back to Hurghada from the boat. We would recommend this tour to anyone who's not scared of the water!
We really wanted to visit Cairo last time we were in Egypt but didn't get the chance as we went on the Luxor tour (with EgyptExcursions).
Cairo is truly an amazing City and the pyramids were more amazing that you can ever imagine until you see them in person. The blocks they're constructed from are huge!!
Was great to hear how they were made and mind-boggling to think how they accomplished such an amazing feat so early in human history.
We were also taken to the the Sphinx which was great and the Egyptian museum which housed all the things you think about when you imagine ancient Egypt - i.e. Tutankhamen, real mummies, and loads of artefacts from ancient Egypt.
This is a tour you HAVE to do if you're visiting Egypt, and we would thoroughly recommend doing it with these guys, great service and great price.
We booked 4 tours and excursions from Hurghada with Egypt Excursions and like the other reviewers on here was very pleased with the level of service we received from them.
The tours were all very well organised, lots of fun and run by a very friendly, engaging and funny tour guide.
Quad biking in Hurghada was fantastic, my husband drove and I went on the back which was a relief for me as I had never drove one of these things before!
I didn't think it would particularity be my thing but turned out to be great a great experience and I'm glad i got to see how beautiful the desert is a sunset.
We went on the Snorkelling trip from Hurghada on our first day of holiday and was very pleasantly surprised by the level of service we received from Mohamed and the team at Egypt Excursions. Like many other people we came across Egypt Excursions when we used the companies sister website in 2012 for tours in Sharm el Sheikh and felt more confident booking with the same company again than with a company we didn't know.
The service levels were just as high as with Sharm Excursions and the tours themselves I have to say are probably better from our experience. Snorkelling in Hurghada has got to be one of the best places in the world to see wildlife in beautiful, warm oceans. This snorkelling trip was brilliant from start to finish, only criticism is that we were back a little later than planned which meant we had to rearrange our dinner plans, but in the scheme of things this wasn't a big deal and we had a lovely day.
We also booked the Luxor 2 day tour from Hurghada with Egypt Excursions as last time we came to Egypt we saw Cairo and felt we had missed out a little by not seeing the tombs and temples of Luxor. We really caught the bug for Egyptian history after doing the Cairo tour so had since read up a lot on Egyptian history including the Sphinx and the valley of the Kings, which made it so much more exciting to finally visit them after only previously seeing them in books and on TV. Our guide was really friendly as usual and a temple of knowledge when it came to he's countries history, he explained how he was a trained Egyptologist and alot of the other tour operators only used "part-time guides who knew nothing" which made us laugh.
Luxor is an amazing city and theres so much to see, even after 2 days you feel like you want to see more but it was also nice to get back to Hurghada and lounge around the pool for the day when we returned as the 2 days on the tour had been very busy. A few people have asked since returning from Egypt what our favourite was out of the Cairo and Luxor tours, and there's only one answer i can honestly give - DO BOTH! Although it might not be possible on one holiday they're both so amazing and rich in history you simply can't miss either!
Prices were very good and service better - would book again.
As with many of the other reviews on here, we booked a number of tours with Egypt Excursions after using there sister company SharmExcursions 2 years ago for our tours in Sharm el Sheikh.
We were a little sceptical at first whether this company would be as good, based on the fact that Mohamed himself proved to be what really made SharmExcursions so special for us, however it turned out Mohammed is heavily involved in this business too and actually arranged the tours for us anyway!
Needless to say all the tours went of without a hitch and we really enjoyed all of our tours.
The Luxor tour from Hurghada was the first tour we booked and the best in all honesty, it was informative, fun and somehow still relaxing (we were on holiday after all).
Our tour guide was brilliant (Mehmet i think?) and very funny and kind, he made sure we were always comfortable and had everything my wife and I needed - including haggling for us at times!
The benefit of this tour is that you get 2 days to explore Luxor which is great because there's simply so much to see and in retrospect there's nothing I feel could have been missed out.
Book this tour - you will not regret!
A big hello to Mohamed from Daryl and Susan!

As with all of our tours Egypt Excursions tour guide picked us up from our hotel on the time agreed and everything was well organised.
The Submarine tour was not our favourite to be honest (Cairo Tour was) but was still a very good day. As the write-up says there is some magnificent fish in the waters around Hurghada and this trip allows you to see them and feel like you're really entering there world.
Another brilliant trip with Egypt Excursions! - 9/10
We booked 3 tours with Egypt Excursions in total and were very happy with all of them.
The sunset desert safari was a great evening, the camel ride was, um, an experience, driving around the desert in a land cruiser 4x4 was great and the BBQ and show in the evening was very good too.
Would definitely recommend this tour as a nice evening out, certainly a lot better than the hotel's entertainment!!
We decided to visit Hurghada instead of Sharm el Sheikh on our last trip to Egypt as we fancied something a little different, however desperately wanted to see Cairo and its treasures - especially the pyramids of Giza.
We came across Egypt Excursions when searching online who offered just what we were after and booked about a month before we departed.
Although we were a little sceptical at first everything turned out really well and our trips were amazing, especially the Cairo excursion - its a very long day but if you're going to see Cairo you don't really want to miss anything and these guys pack it all in!
Thank you very much to our fantastic guide and Egypt Excursions and everyone that made our tours in Hurghada go so smoothly.
We had a fantastic night in Cairo at the sound and light show at the Pyramids. The show was done remarkably well and managed to be informative and entertaining.
We also booked the Luxor tour with Egypt Excursions and would give this generally the same positive feedback as the Alexandria tour.
Again our tour guide was professional, friendly and funny, and very knowledgable.
Luxor itself is amazing and truly lives up to the reputation of the worlds largest open air museum. The Luxor tour from Cairo was by far our favourite day of the 2 weeks in Cairo.
Again would recommend without hesitation - the Luxor temples are mind-blowing.
The Cairo dinner cruise is a really lovely night, lovely food, entertainment and great views of Cairo. Obviously the Nile is pretty famous so we wanted to see it for ourselves, it was very different at night to the day time when we had seen it on the Cairo tour - a lot more tranquil.
The food was lovely on the cruise and the entertainment made for a really fun night
We booked 2 tours with Egypt Excursions for our holiday in Cairo last month. Both were fantastic in terms of price, what we actually got for our money and service.
The first tour was to see the pyramids, which I will talk about in a separate review and the other was the Cairo city tour of the Old town, the Egyptian museum and a mosque, church and synagogue.
The first thing that struck me was how large the Egyptian museum actually was, me and my partner found it really interesting to see all the ancient things that had come from various temples and pyramids over the hundreds of years since their discovery and it was amazing to be so close to it all. Of course also seeing mummy’s in the museum was the highlight and something we won’t forget.
The other thing that surprised us was that Cairo had a lot of churches and also some synagogues, this isn’t at all what we were expecting but very fascinating to look round these beautiful buildings - to be honest the large mosque we visited was the most impressive in my opinion architecturally.
The shopping in the bazaars was great and again very interesting as you learn their history apparently dating very far back.
The pyramid tour was great and something we had to see, but following that with this tour topped our holiday as we got to see what would have been inside the tombs and ancient pyramids we were looking in.
If I recommended only one tour it would be the Pyramid tour, but this is fantastic too!
WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY!! This was booked for me as a 21st birthday present, and have to say it's one of the best presents I’ve ever had!! Cairo is absolutely amazing and so was our tour guide Abdul. It was great to actually go inside a pyramid and an ancient tomb and to learn the history of them, it's mind baffling to get your head around how they were built thousands of years ago let alone how we could make them so precisely today! DO THIS TOUR!
We booked all of our tours with Egypt Excursions on a recommendation from a friend who had taken a tour of Cairo with them last year. I got speaking to Mohamed, the owner of the tour company during our tour and would like to say what a lovely bloke he is. He explained how and why the company was formed and how they’ve grown to one of the biggest tour operators in Egypt. The company only serves the UK market so you don't get mixed in with Russians or Germans like some other tour operators do. needless to say just like the above reviews we were very happy with our Cairo tour and felt it perfectly balanced seeing the amazing sights of Cairo with not being too rushed. We're planning on going to Luxor next year or possibly the year after and will definitely be using Egypt Excursions for our tours.
Returned from the most amazing holiday to Cairo last night after 10 days of fantastic Egyptian hospitality and relaxation.
We booked 4 tours in total with Egypt Excursions and were pleased with them all. We were initially a little sceptical about booking online but the good reviews and fact that we only had to outlay 10% of the total before we got to Egypt gave us enough confidence to proceed and book.
Needless to say we're very glad we did as every tour was better than the website said, we have 2 children of 5 and 9 and they loved our tour guide so much we have got hes email address and will be keeping in contact!
Last month we booked a number of tours online with Egypt Excursions and overall were very pleased with the level of service we recieved from them.
All the staff we very friendly and knowledgable and the trip itself was extremelly well planned.
Our first trip was a tour of Alexandria from Cairo which was absolutely amazing, the City itself I had'nt really heard much of before we went and after reading online we were a little worried it would be too historical - (wanted a holiday not history lessons to be honest), but we did'nt need to be worried, it was a lovely, relaxing day and although there was a lot of history talk from our guide it was in a way that made it interesting and relevant (probably because we were there and that much more interested because of it).
The tombs in Alexandria were awesome, and again the guide made that really interesting with some cool stories about it's past.
Overall would receomend Egypt Excursions and this tour.
